MADISON — The Cheesemakers lost to Edgewood 9-1 Nov. 26 at LaBahn Arena in Madison.
Edgewood led just 1-0 after the period but outscored Monroe 6-1 in the second to take a commanding lead.
Hayden Roth had tied the game 5:49 into the second period with an even strength goal on a pass from Cooper Dreyfus. The Crusaders would score the final eight goals of the game — seven on even strength and one shorthanded. Thomas Weis had four goals and two assists to lead Edgewood. Cody Menzel had a goal and four assists.
Heath Bear had 41 saves, but the Cheesemakers had just 14 total shots on goal.
Monroe’s next game was Nov. 29 at Sauk Prairie (2-2) and the Cheesemakers (1-1) are at Greendale (0-3) Dec. 1.
