Five wrestlers win titles at Mt. Horeb

Monroe Mat Rats sent 23 wrestlers to the Mt. Horeb-Barenveld tournament Saturday and Sunday.

In the kindergarten to second-grade group, Garrett Grossen, Bodie Minder, and Patrick Rielly placed first. Five wrestlers earned second place including Liam Hermanson, Jacob Lohmar, Braedon, Malkow, Brady Schuh and Aidan Sweeney. Third place went to Colbin Mann and Max Haffele, and fourth place went to Max Patterson.

In the third- and fourth-grade division, Nick Schumacher placed first and Dempzy Foley and Drake Ingold took second.

In the fifth- and sixth-grade division, McKenzy Foley won the championship. David Andrews and Cole Murray took third place. Hayden Arneson and Parker Ingold each finished fourth.

Finally, in the seventh- and eighth-grade division, Ryan Hughes took first, Troy Gorr and Eric Timm took second and Brad Gilbert took fourth.
