BURLINGTON - The Black Hawk football team allowed 433 yards of total offense to Burlington Catholic Central (10-0) on the way to a 48-12 first-round exit in the WIAA Division 7 playoffs on Tuesday.
Black Hawk (6-4) went into halftime trailing 28-0, and got its first touchdown in the third quarter. Wide receiver Kyle Stauffacher caught a 62-yard pass from quarterback Payton Schliem early on in the third to cut the score to 28-7.
After three more scores, the Warriors got their final score of the season - an 18-yard touchdown run by junior Cody Foster.
