BASEBALL: Black Hawk rolls Argyle; Redbirds fall

SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk senior Payton Schliem pitched a complete game to help propel the Warriors to a 10-1 baseball win Tuesday over Argyle. Schliem gave up just one run on four hits. He struck out six to earn the win.

Black Hawk senior Jordan Luhman led the Warriors at the plate, going 2-for-3.

Argyle had a 1-0 lead prior to the fouth inning. The Warriors scored three runs in the fourth and sealed the game with a seven-run fifth.

Argyle committed six errors and senior Andy Bohlman took the loss. Bohlman pitched four innings and gave up four hits. He struck out six.

BOSCOBEL 12, DARLINGTON 11

BOSCOBEL - The Redbirds couldn't hang on to a 9-1 lead after a five-run second inning. Boscobel tied the score with a seven-run fourth.

Senior Taylor Wiegel pitched 4 1/3 innings, but Tanner Havens took the loss.

Darlington junior Colton Carpenter and Brett Hardyman were both 2-for-5 at the plate.
