FENNIMORE - Albany senior Jake Lincicum was a force in propelling the Comets' boys track team to a seventh-place finish at the Fennimore Invitational on Saturday.
Lincicum won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4 minutes, 42.64 seconds. He took third place in both the long jump and triple jump (37 feet, 10 inches). The Comets also finished in third place in the 1,600 relay with a time of 3:43.73.
Albany's Jake Short took third place in the 3,200 (10:47.18).
In the girls invitational, Albany finished in 10th place. Comets senior Devan Brugger finished second in the 100 high hurdles with a time of 16.97 seconds. The Comets' 3,200 relay team took third with a time of 10:47.78.
Fennimore swept both the boys and girls titles.
