Robert R. “Bob” Bonjour, age 78 of Lamont, WI passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at his home in Lamont with his family by his side. He was born May 4, 1944 in Gratiot, WI the son of James and Mable (Noble) Bonjour. Bob grew up in Mineral Point, Wi where he graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1962. After high school, Bob was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged and returning home, Bob married Nancy Leigh in 1968 and started their family in Blanchardville, WI. In 1978 Bob and his family moved to Argyle where he began working at Argyle Industries as a water pump supervisor for many years.   In 1986, Bob and Nancy separated. In 1991, Bob was united in marriage to Kay Klais at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. In 1993, Bob and Kay moved to rural Lamont where they have resided since.

Bob is survived by his wife Kay at home; his two daughters: Tina (Randy) Swingen and Patty (Dale) Emberson both of Argyle; his step-children: Brandy Armendarez of Argyle, Heather (Ernest) Messerilli of Hartford, WI, Monica (Brian Eck) Goebel of Platteville, WI, and Jodi (Josh) Wohlert of Platteville; his grandchildren: Courtney (Bruce) Emberson of Tuscan, AZ and Kyle (Kylie) Emberson of Argyle; 16 step-grandchildren; one great-grand child on the way; one step-great-great-grandchild; and two sisters: Linda Willborn of Brodhead, WI and Kay (David) Johnson of Monroe, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Roger Noble; several brothers and sisters-in-law; a step-son: Jeremy; and two step-daughters in infancy: Gabrielle and Lindsay.

Bob was a member of Lamont United Methodist Church, the Argyle American Legion Post #251, and the Argyle Lions Club. In his free time, he enjoyed turkey and deer hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, bowling, and taking care of his lawn. His family meant the world to him – especially his grandchildren. Bob always enjoyed taking them fishing and making sure they knew how proud he was of them. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee St., Argyle). A private family graveside service will be held at Woodlawn with Rev. Paul Gregersen of Lamont United Methodist Church officiating where military graveside rites will be accorded by Argyle American Legion Post #251.
