Program on starting new businesses to be held Nov. 1

MONROE - The Southwest Wisconsin Small Business Development Center is presenting the "First Steps to Staring a Small Business and Writing a Business Plan: How to Turn an Idea into a Business Plan," from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Blackhawk Technical College, 210 4th Ave., Monroe.

The event is free to the public. Those who attend will learn why there is a need for a business plan, how to write a business plan, the purpose of market research and where to find business start-up resources.
