MONROE - Monroe police are seeking two men and a woman in connection with an attempted burglary at Fuzzy's Audio-Video on Monroe's westside early Tuesday.

At about 12:41 a.m., Monroe police were notified of a burglary alarm at the business, 141 West 7th St. Officers arrived within two or three minutes and found the front door had been shattered. The area was searched but no suspects were found, Police Chief Fred Kelley said in a press release later Tuesday.

Kelley said the suspects smashed the door to gain entry, setting off the alarm. The intruders were inside the business for less than a minute, damaging an inside door, and fled just ahead of police without taking anything.

Police believe the suspects were targeting certain items in the store.

The suspects are described as two larger persons, believed to be male, wearing dark hoodies and pants, and a smaller person, believed to be female, wearing a lighter colored hoodie and dark pants. Each had their faces and hands concealed.

Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to call the Monroe Police Department at 608-329-2400 or Green County Crimestoppers at 1-800-IC-CRIME (1-800-422-7463), where callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
