MONROE - The Multicultural Council of Green County will host the first Celebrate Diversity Day from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Monroe United Methodist Church, 2227 4th Ave., Monroe.
The event is open to the public for $10. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Speakers from different ethnic groups in Green County will make brief presentations on their cultural background and home countries, as well as sharing their experiences and ideas on being a newcomer to Green County and the United States.
There will be booths for different countries and cultures, where there will be pictures, artifacts and jewelry.
