MONROE - The Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Future Forward Green County have joined forces to offer a new "on-boarding" program to help new employees assimilate to the area.
The new on-boarding program was initiated to help newcomers to the community meet each other, learn more about the community, and be introduced to the many organizations, events, and activities that Green County has to offer.
The organization hopes the end result is to grow Green County by encouraging longevity with new employees.
Earlier this fall, the program was piloted with new employees from Monroe Clinic and Colony Brands to see how it was received, and to introduce it to other companies. The organization hopes to offer an event twice a year - once in August and once in February - to all new employees in the county.
The February date will be set before the end of the year. For more information, visit www.futureforwardgc.com, www.monroechamber.org or www.greencounty.org.
