Green County Historical Society: Celebrating Our Past
39338a.jpg
This old photo from the collection of Alan and Judy Bauman was probably taken in the 1940s in a house in Monroe. Interior shots from the holidays during this era and earlier are quite rare. Decorations on trees have evolved during the decades. Sequels Fine Interior Consignments has three glass ornaments (Swiss flags, a cream puff, and a half of a grilled cheese sandwich) for sale, from which all of the proceeds will benefit the historical society and the NHCC. The Green County Historical Society always appreciates being able to scan copies of interesting photographs. If you have any photos that you feel may be of interest or have any questions about the society, contact Matt Figi at 608-325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net.
