MONROE - The Green County Humane Society invites anyone interested to dress up their pet or one of the shelter animals for the St. Patrick's Day parade, which will take place at 5:17 p.m. March 17 in Monroe.
Prizes for best dressed animal will be awarded immediately after the parade in the Minhas Brewery parking lot. Prizes are $100 for first place $50 for second place, and $25 for third place.

A benefit also is planned after the parade at The Roadhouse, 1001 30th St. A percentage of all meals will go to help support the humane society. There will be games and prizes for children, a raffle and music from 7 to 11 p.m.
People are asked to bring a dog or cat toy, a collar or a leash to donate to the shelter.
