Deficit better than expected

MONROE - Monroe school district's budget deficit for the 2014-15 school year will come in about $300,000 better than expected. Business Manager Ron Olson presented the newest numbers at a school board meeting Monday. Revenues for last year will be about $150,000 under budget, which Olson attributes to the PEP grant - the district didn't spend all of the grant money for the year - and to open enrollment revenues.
