Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Saturday:

• A vehicle that struck a mailbox was reported at 11:04 a.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. No damage was done and the owner did not wish to pursue charges.

• Minor injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 9:21 a.m. on Wis. 81 in Argyle Township. Corbyn R. Carius, 16, Argyle, was traveling eastbound when he crossed the centerline, entering the ditch. The vehicle continued through the ditch before overturning and coming to rest on its roof. His 2001 Ford Ranger sustained severe damage and was towed.

• A deputy responded to a one-vehicle crash at 2:20 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs Township.

• No injuries were reported when Lance A. Lierman, 20, Benton, struck a deer at 6:12 p.m. on Horse Shoe Bend Road, Benton Township. Lierman's 2012 Chevrolet Silverado sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported when Erica R. Halverson, 41, Madison, struck a deer at 11:25 a.m. on County F, Willow Springs Township. Halverson's 2017 Audi sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported when Stephanie L. Eastwood, 58, Argyle, struck a deer at 11:45 a.m. on Spring Brook Road, Wiota Township. Eastwood's 2008 Chrysler sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported when Julie M. Adams, 59, Browntown, struck a deer at 6:02 p.m. on Meier Road, Wayne Township. Adams' 2011 Buick sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported when Christopher K. Wilson, 33, Platteville, struck a deer at 6:03 p.m. on U.S. 151, Kendall Township. Wilson's 2011 Ford sustained moderate damage and was towed.

• No injuries were reported when Karen M. Gempeler, 44, Monticello, struck a deer at 6:56 p.m. on Wis. 11, Wayne Township. Gempeler's 2002 Buick sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported when John P. Kilby, 35, Darlington, struck a deer at 9:56 p.m. on Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township. Kilby's 2002 Chevrolet sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Monday:

• No injuries were reported when Jayson J. Haldiman, 45, South Wayne, struck a deer at 5:15 p.m. on Walnut Road, Wiota Township. Haldiman's 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche sustained minor damage.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Monday:

• Injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 1:35 p.m. at County C and County N in the Town of Washington. John F. Cook, 48, Janesville, was southbound on County N when he failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a westbound vehicle on County C that was operated by James D. Ritchard, 61, Monticello. Ritchard was injured in the crash but declined medical attention. Cook reported no injuries. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Cook was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and was released pending court.

• No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 4:23 p.m. in the N2100 block of Bagley Road in the Town of Spring Grove. Bryce M. Messerli, 23, Davis, Illinois, was northbound on Bagley Road when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the ditch and collided with a tree. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was removed from the scene.
