MONROE - On Monday, Feb. 25:

• Harry P. Smith, 70, Freeport, and has passenger Lucille H. Hill, 72, Argyle, reported injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene of a two-vehicle accident at 12:40 p.m. on Wisconsin 81 east of County N in the Town of Monroe. A car driven by Cody W. Pivonka, 17, Argyle, attempted to pass Smith's pickup truck on the left in a passing lane but lost control while shifting gears. His car swerved to the right and collided with the pickup. Pivonka was uninjured. His car sustained minor damage. The pickup was moderately damaged. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

• Paul A. Eichelkraut, 46, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle collision reported at 7:02 p.m. in the W5700 block of County H in the Town of New Glarus. The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front driver's side. Eichelkraut drove it from the scene.

• Peter J. Landry, 49, Brooklyn, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle collision reported at 9:07 p.m. on Alpine Road west of Glenway Road in the Town of Brooklyn. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Billy E. Worthington, 39, Shullsburg, reported no injuries at 5:39 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, after he hit a deer on Wis. 23 in the Town of Willow Springs. His vehicle was moderately damaged.
