MONROE - Cory A. Burton, 19, Argyle, was taken to the Monroe Clinic ER for injuries he sustained in a one-vehicle accident reported at 5:24 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in the W6900 block of County C in the Town of Washington. Burton was eastbound when he lost control on a curve by taking it too fast. The car collided with a power pole, went down a steep embankment and rolled onto its top before colliding with some trees. The car was severely damaged and towed.
