Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - For the week of Nov. 12 to 18, there were 18 calls for service, seven vehicle registrations, 35 citizen assists, 29 security checks, four assists of other agencies, 16 traffic stops, 10 911 calls, no fire calls and six EMS calls.

On Nov. 12:

• A 35-year-old Davis, Illinois, man was cited for driving without a valid license at 7:27 p.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Street.

• A 68-year-old Brodhead man was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 9:15 p.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Nov. 13:

• A building inspector was contacted after a code violation was reported at 6:17 a.m. in the 100 block of 9th Street. A shed was placed too close to lot lines.

• Truancy was reported at 9:26 a.m. in the 1600 block of East 5th Avenue. Citations were issued.

• Police responded at 10:17 a.m. to the 1000 block of 21st Street for a welfare check. Contact was made and the subject was fine.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 12:42 p.m. in the 600 block of 12th Street. The subject illegally passed a school bus. The subject was located and cited.

• Theft was reported at 2:12 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. There are no suspects currently and the matter remains under investigation.

• A 52-year-old Browntown man was cited for speeding at 3:02 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 9th Avenue.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 6:12 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 4th Street. The subject reported a possible scam.

• A 55-year-old Beaver Dam man was cited for speeding at 6:35 p.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

• A 44-yar-old Brodhead man was cited for driving without a valid license and was verbally warned for no proof of insurance at 7:08 p.m. in the N200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Nov. 14:

• Truancy was reported at 8:10 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. A warning was issued.

• Police responded at 12:16 p.m. to the 1500 block of East 8th Avenue for a welfare check. Contact was made with family and police departed.

• A hazard in the roadway was reported at 5:09 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Center Avenue. A pole was leaning into the roadway. Brodhead Water & Light was contacted and responded.

On Nov. 16:

• Police responded at 2:20 p.m. to the 200 block of Cedar Avenue for a welfare check. A phone problem was reported and contact was made.

• A gas drive off was reported at 5:23 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The business advised they would resolve the matter when the driver returned and no citations were issued.

• A missing elderly subject was reported at 6:51 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The subject was found to be safe.

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:19 p.m. in the 1500 block for a juvenile not cooperating. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.

• A 51-year-old Blanchardville man was cited for issuing worthless checks in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street. The original incident was reported on Nov. 9.

• A 46-year-old Lake Geneva man was cited for issuing worthless checks in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. The original incident was reported Nov. 9.

On Nov. 17:

• Disorderly conduct was reported at 1:28 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Center Avenue. A subject was receiving unwanted text messages. Contact was made and a warning was issued.

• An ordinance violation was reported at 11:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street for loud music in the area. Contact was made and a warning was issued.

On Saturday:

• A 20-year-old Janesville man was cited for driving without a valid license and failure to stop at a stop sign at 4:34 a.m. in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A 41-year-old Albany man was arrested on a warrant issued by the Rock County Sheriff's Office at 5:43 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - James William McNett, 51, Shullsburg, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and having an open intoxicant in a vehicle Nov. 20 at 4:30 p.m. on Galena Street. He was released to a sober person pending court.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Monday:

• Assault was reported at 12:51 a.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue in New Glarus. The suspect, Naomi R. Balderas, 34, fled before deputies arrived. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact the sheriff's office.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• Suspicious activity was reported at 3:51 a.m. on Wis. 81 in Elk Grove Township.

• Trespassing was reported at 8:38 a.m. on South Holland Road in Gratiot Township.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 10:11 a.m. on County D in Lamont Township.

• An animal problem was reported at 11:11 a.m. on County Z in Kendall Township.

• Livestock on the road was reported at 1:13 p.m. on Holland Road in Seymour Township.

• Theft was reported at 2 p.m. on County F in Blanchard Township.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 2:23 p.m. on North Main Street in Blanchardville.

• An animal problem was reported at 3:18 p.m. on Holland Road in Kendall Township.

• A deputy unlocked a vehicle at 4:08 p.m. on County O in Seymour Township.

• An animal problem was reported at 4:21 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 4:21 p.m. on Wildcat Road in Darlington Township.

• Salvador Rivera-Perez, 29, Dubuque, Iowa, was arrested at 11:09 p.m. on a Lafayette County warrant. Rivera-Perez was taken to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released.
