Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Tuesday:

• Theft was reported at 3:41 p.m. in the N1900 block of Brunkow Road in the Town of Jefferson. The victim reported an engine hoist had been stolen from their property. The engine hoist was described as being red and blue in color, 5-ton capability, and being approximately 8-feet long. No signs of forced entry were located. No one had permission to take the engine hoist and there are suspects. The investigation is pending.

• Alesa M. Hamby, 18, Brodhead, was arrested for disorderly conduct and probation hold at 8:35 p.m. in the N4100 block of County E in the Town of Decatur after a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed Hamby had assaulted a roommate. She was incarcerated at the Green County Jail and further charges are pending.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday:

• A deputy responded at 11:30 a.m. to Wisconsin 81 in Darlington Township for a welfare check.

• Tanya L. Russell, 45, Belmont, was arrested on a valid probation and parole warrant at 5:46 p.m. Russell was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody.

• Livestock on the road was reported at 11:02 p.m. on Wis. 26 in Elk Grove Township.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Cesar Maria Montero Adorno, 26, Monroe, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property at 2:25 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of 17th Street. Adorno was released from custody after posting bond. 



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Dec. 20:

• Police issued six citations for alternate side parking violations through the Village of New Glarus.

• A hit-and-run vehicle crash was reported at 11 a.m. in the 100 block of 4th Avenue.

• A sexual assault was reported at 11:23 a.m. that occurred at a location on 2nd Street. The matter is under investigation.

• Police responded at 8:11 p.m. to 300 Elmer Road for a welfare check of a child and the child's father. The incident was investigated and everything was fine.

• Eric J. Marunde, 39, New Glarus, was cited for speeding at 10:58 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

On Dec. 21:

• Police responded at 3:17 p.m. to the 10 block of 6th Avenue for a 911 misdial.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 3:29 p.m. for a vehicle entering New Glarus on Wis. 69 from the north. The vehicle was not located.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a welfare check at 11:21 p.m. of a female walking in shorts toward New Glarus along Wis. 69. The female was located, and it was found her vehicle broke down in New Glarus Township.

On Friday:

• Police responded at 12:17 a.m. to the 1200 block of 3rd Street for a welfare check. Contact was made with the subjects in question and everything was fine.

• A missing child was reported at 8:02 p.m. in the 400 block of 9th Avenue. The child was located a short time later safe at a neighbor's residence.

• Police responded at 1:35 p.m. to a residence in the 200 block of 1st Avenue to assist a parent whose 16-year-old child would not listen to them. Both subjects were separated for some time.

• Michael E. Berg, 60, Blanchardville, was cited for driving without insurance at 5:35 p.m. in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• A lost wallet was reported at 4:05 p.m. at an unknown location in the village.

• Thomas G. Krenz, 26, Monroe, was cited for driving while revoked at 10:58 p.m. in the 800 block of Wis. 69.

On Saturday:

• Police assisted a resident with an opossum in the trash can at 6:21 p.m. in the 800 block of 3rd Street.

• Police checked the welfare of a motorist with a flat tire at 8:11 p.m. on Wis. 69 near County W. A tow truck was called to assist.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 11:35 p.m. at a business in the 300 block of 14th Avenue. Employees were having a holiday party.

On Sunday:

• Police assisted the Dane County Sheriff with a hit-and-run crash investigation at 1:45 p.m.

• A stolen vehicle was reported at 2:40 p.m. on 10th Avenue. The vehicle was located; the owner did not want to pursue charges.

• New Glarus Police assisted the Green County Sheriff with a disabled vehicle at 4:14 p.m. in the W5500 block of County H.

• A vehicle all over the roadway was reported at 6:14 p.m. on Wis. 69 from Monticello. The vehicle was located at a residence; no further action was taken.
