DICKEYVILLE - Leland Wayne Leopold, 57, of Dickeyville, WI, formerly of Monroe, WI passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 13th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI with Rev. Calvin Hughes officiating. A private family burial will be at the Blaisdell Cemetery in South Wayne, WI at a later date. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Leland was born on February 13, 1956 to Ralph & Clara (Boss) Leopold in Monroe, WI. He graduated from Monroe High School and worked at White Hill Cheese Company in Shullsburg, WI as a cheesemaker. Leland enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping and time spent with his family and friends. Leland is survived by his 4 children: Laura (Gary) Campbell of Dubuque, IA, Joseph (Katrina) Leopold of Fort Riley, KS, Lynda Leopold and Amanda (Ben) Paulsen both of Dubuque, IA; 5 brothers: Vernon (Jennifer) Leopold, Gary Leopold, Jim (Bonnie) Leopold, Jay (Jeanne) Leopold and Steven (Cheryl) Leopold; 2 sisters: Nancy (Pierre) Schutte and Rita (Bill) Jacobson; 4 grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers. In lieu of flowers, a Leland W. Leopold Memorial Fund has been established.
