Gloria K. Erickson, age 66, of Monroe, formerly of South Wayne, died on Monday, December 18, 2017 at her home. She was born on March 3, 1951 the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Smith) Beutel Sr. She graduated from Blackhawk High school in 1969.

Gloria and Ron Goecke were united in marriage in 1972; they were blessed with a wonderful son, Steve. Although Ron and Gloria went their separate ways, they always remained good friends. Gloria later married Jim Erickson, on March 17, 1978 in Monroe; he had two lovely daughters, Dawn and Dana.

They say that you can only find true love once, but fortunately for everyone, Gloria found it for a third time in Leroy Gavigan. Throughout Gloria's battle, Leroy was not only a rock for Gloria, but also for the entire family. Words can't say how much Leroy's love and thoughtfulness have been appreciated by Gloria's family.

She was employed with RR Donnelley until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Steve (Kim) Goecke of New Glarus, Dana (Jeff) Felder of Oxford, PA; Dawn (Dale) Meier of Monroe; 9 grandchildren: Kendell and Alex Goecke, Gavin Wels, Jacob and Rachel Meier, Libby and Abbey Felder; loving friend and companion, Leroy Gavigan of Monroe; brothers, David (Sandra) Beutel of Brodhead, John Beutel of Stoughton, and Herman Beutel of Argyle; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Terry) Hanna and Nancy Beutel both of Monroe.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband; James Erickson, brothers; Jim and Ernest Beutel Jr; nieces; Danielle and Erika Beutel; and nephews; Tracy, Bruce and Jason Beutel.
