MONROE - Enid M. Kubly, age 88 of Monroe, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born on December 29, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Mau) Bayrhoffer. She was a graduate of Monroe High School and of U.W. Whitewater with a teaching degree. Enid and Leon "Lee" Kubly were married on October 8, 1944 in Monroe. She farmed with her husband Lee on the Kubly family farm in the Monroe area. When they moved to Monroe in 1965, she resumed teaching for 20 years in the Monroe School District. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and a former choir director for the Universalist Unitarian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Kubly of Madison; grandchildren, Christopher Brunckhorst of northern CA, Jennifer Kubly, Valerie (Brian) Wenstrup all of Indianapolis, IN; also 4 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Lee and a son Gerald Kubly.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. David Busker, with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at 3, at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established in Enid's memory.
