Daniel P. Mick age 59 of Argyle, WI, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at his home. He was born June 16, 1951 in Northbrook, IL, the son of Philip and Rosemary (Spellman) Mick. Dan grew up in Northbrook until moving to Woodford, WI, in 1978. He was united in marriage to Lorna Ritschard on May 6, 1983 in Monroe, WI. Following their marriage they moved to Argyle, where they have resided since. Dan worked as a machine operator in the mailing department at Swiss Colony in Monroe.

Dan is survived by his wife: Lorna at home; his father: Philip of Treasure Island, FL; four children: Daniel (Teri) Mick, Jr. of Darien, WI, Steve (Sheryl) Mick of Argyle, Jackie (Toussant) Minnett of Racine, WI, and Brenda Mick of Fond du Lac, WI; 11 grandchildren; four brothers: Mike Mick of Glenview, IL, Mark (Judy) Mick of Arlington Heights, IL, Steve (Lynn) Mick of Northbrook, and Jamie Mick of Wheeling, IL; and two sisters: Patti Connor of St. Petersburg, FL, and Kathy (Mike) Peters of South Pasadena, FL. He was preceded in death by his mother: Rosmary; and one son: Nathan Mick on September 23, 2007.

Dan enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors working in his yard, and decorating for the holidays. He looked forward to camping and his trips to Florida. Dan will always be remembered for his flower gardens, his goofy recipes that were always good, his camp fires in the back yard, and his landscaping skills.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 14, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home, 60 Breeze Terrace (GPS Users: 801 East Milwaukee Street) in Argyle with Rev. David Wanish of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Argyle officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in rural Argyle. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011, from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Monday, February 14, 2011, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
