Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On Sept. 9:

●  A runaway 16-year-old boy was reported at 10:07 a.m. He was located and found safe on Sept. 11.

●  A seller’s permit was issued at 3:05 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street to a door-to-door salesman of educational materials, Noah “The Education Man” Swanson.

On Sept. 10:

●  Attempted fraud was reported at 1:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. The investigation is ongoing.

●  Between 2 and 8 p.m., police located unregistered vehicles in the 200 block of South Pierce Street, 300 block of South Garfield Street and 200 block of South Main Street. The owners were mailed warning letters.

●  ATV/snow route signs illegally displayed on Alliant Energy poles were reported at 3:35 p.m.

On Sept. 11:

●  Police removed debris from the roadway at 11:50 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69.

●  Police placed a 24-hour abandoned vehicle tag on an unregistered truck at 11:59 p.m. in the 200 block of East Park Avenue.

On Sept. 12:

●  Nettie Tenner, 44, Rockford, Illinois, was cited for possession of THC at 4:55 p.m. in the 200 block of Wis. 69.

●  Police assisted with a medical call at 8:59 p.m. within the village.

●  Dennis Grandt, 27, Malta, Illinois, was cited for possession of THC at 9:23 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

On Sept. 13:

●  Police located an unregistered vehicle at 1:56 a.m. in the 200 block of South Garfield Street and at 2:07 a.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. Warning letters were sent to the owners.

●  Police located two vehicles that had not moved for over 24 hours at about 2:30 p.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. Parking citations were issued.

●  Police assisted a citizen with notarization at 11 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

On Sept. 14:

●  Police responded for a vehicle crash at 7:11 a.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. No injuries were reported.

●  A complaint regarding a flying drone was reported at 9:32 p.m. in the 500 block of North Monroe Street. The drone was in compliance.

On Sept. 15:

●  Police located an unregistered vehicle at 12:02 p.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. The owner was previously issued a warning letter. As a result, a citation was issued.

●  Police located an unregistered vehicle at 1:41 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street, at 1:53 p.m. in the 200 block of South Pierce Street and at 2:32 p.m. in the 500 block of West Coates Avenue. Warning letters were sent to the owners.

●  Police located an unregistered vehicle at 2:11 p.m. in the 500 block of West Coates Avenue. The owner previously received a warning letter. As a result, a citation was issued.

●  A civil issue was reported at 4:14 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Police assisted a citizen with questions regarding an animal issue at 6 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Police assisted a citizen with questions regarding a chimney at 6:15 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  A dog running at large was reported at 4:59 p.m. Sept. 16 near North Main Street and East Lake Avenue. The dog was not located.

On Sept. 17:

●  Police assisted with a lift assist at 3:25 p.m. within the village. The Monticello Fire Department assisted.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 6 p.m. at an address in the village.

●  Police located an unregistered vehicle at 9:28 p.m. in the 500 block of South Monroe Street. The owner was previously sent a warning letter. As a result, a citation was issued.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Caleb J. Hawley, 35, Monroe, was arrested at 6:29 p.m. Sept. 17 in the 700 block of 9th Street on a Lafayette County warrant for failure to appear in court on a child support case. He was transported to the Green County Sheriff’s Office and then transported to Lafayette County.

On Sept. 18:

●  Eugene C. Mosconi, 43, Monroe, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration at 1:10 a.m. in the 100 block of 21st Street. He was also cited for speeding, driving with a revoked license, non-registration of a motor vehicle, open intoxicants and no vehicle insurance. He was booked and released after posting bond.

●  Taylor M. Albright, 25, rural Monroe, was arrested for a financial transaction card crime at 1:57 p.m. in the 300 block of 6th Avenue. Albright was booked and released pending court.

●  Reyshaun L. Craig, 21, Freeport, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence at 10:36 p.m. in the 2100 block of Wis. 69. Craig was also cited for possession of marijuana. He was released pending court.

●  A disturbance was reported at 1:38 a.m. Sept. 20 at a residence in the 1200 block of 9th Street. As a result, Keontrai G. Hodges, 19, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and cited for underage drinking. He was booked and released to a responsible party pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Clint E. Brown, 45, Monroe, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a domestic abuse incident at 11:40 a.m. Sept. 17 in the W7000 block of County P, Town of Clarno. He was taken to the jail, where he posted bond and was released pending court.

●  Aniceto Salzar Alarcon, 30, Darlington, was cited for a second-offense charge of driving without a valid license at 4:11 p.m. Sept. 17 in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe.

●  Richard L. Threewitt, 60, Monticello, was arrested on two domestic abuse-related counts of disorderly conduct after a disturbance was reported at 7:54 p.m. Sept. 20 in the W5000 block of Allison Road, Town of Washington. He was jailed pending court.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Sept. 13 to 19, police performed 82 security checks, 23 citizen assists, eight assists of other agencies, 11 follow-ups to incidents, five vehicle registrations and 11 traffic stops; responded to 54 calls for service and reported four EMS calls, 12 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Sept. 13:

●  A person collecting signatures to impeach the governor was reported at 2:36 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park, 1108 1st Center Ave. The person did not have a permit to do this in the park and a warning was issued.

●  Annoying calls from an unknown source were reported at 5:11 p.m. in the 500 block of East 6th Avenue. The person reporting the calls was given options to stop them.

On Sept. 14:

●  Cones on the sidewalk creating a hazard were reported at 7:25 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. The area was patrolled and no hazard was observed.

●  A vehicle parked left of center was reported at 10:41 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  An ATV violation involving tire marks in a terrace was reported at 3:48 p.m. in the 200 block of 7th Street. Police were unable to locate the ATV.

●  People not wearing masks were reported at 5:50 p.m. at a business in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. The business owner was warned.

●  A loud go-kart going up and down the road was reported at 5:54 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  A Franklin woman, 28, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 7:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Sept. 15:

●  A car in park after park hours was reported at 12:26 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Warnings were issued.

●  Grass clippings in the roadway were reported at 7:47 a.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  Refuse in a driveway was reported at 8:04 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue.

●  A woodchuck trying to dig into a house was reported at 2:53 p.m. in the N100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police provided a number for a varmint eradicator.

●  A deer carcass found in a lawn was reported at 3:24 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street. The Brodhead Street Department was contacted.

●  A Brodhead woman, 43, was arrested for bail jumping at 9:52 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 35, was arrested for bail jumping at 9:54 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Sept. 16:

●  A Janesville man, 20, was cited for speeding at 11:43 a.m. in the 2500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A person burning yard waste was reported at 4:55 p.m. in the 900 block of West 2nd Avenue. A warning was issued.

On Sept. 17:

●  A Millersville, Pennsylvania man, 65, was cited for speeding at 8:15 a.m. in the 2500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A traffic crash was reported at 8:44 a.m. in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue. This was a non-reportable accident and no citations were issued.

●  A Brodhead woman, 73, was cited for unsafe backing following a traffic crash at 8:56 a.m. in the 800 block of East Exchange Street.

●  Theft of a window decoration was reported at 10:53 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 19, was cited for driving without a valid license at 1:56 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  People outside a residence causing a verbal disturbance were reported at 4:15 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  A vehicle in violation of the city’s junk vehicle ordinance was reported at 7:57 a.m. Sept. 18 in the 1200 block of 21st Street.
