Monroe Police

MONROE — On Friday, Sept. 27:

●  Darwin L. Seneca, 50, Monroe, was arrested at about 8:15 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of 4th Avenue on a warrant issued through Kenosha Joint Services. He was transported to the jail, where he posted bond and was released.

●  Officers responded at 11:45 p.m. to the common area of a hotel in the 500 block of 6th Avenue for a report of a fight between members of a work crew staying at the hotel. Investigation resulted in Toby A. Stanley, 22, Carthage, Missouri, being arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was jailed.

On Saturday, Sept. 28:

●  Harley J. Paynter, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at about 2:15 a.m. at a residence in the 400 block of 21st Street. He was jailed pending court.

●  Daniel A. Smiley, 37, Monroe, was arrested on an outstanding Lafayette County warrant at about 5:15 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 8th Avenue. He was transported to the Monroe Police Department, where he posted bond and was released.

On Sunday, Sept. 29:

●  Roger M. Blum, 50, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s domestic abuse laws after officers responded at 1:55 a.m. to a residence the 500 block of West 21st Street for a report of a male subject acting out. He was also taken into custody on an apprehension order issued by the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Division. He was jailed pending court.


Albany Police

ALBANY — On Monday, Sept. 16:

●  Julie E. Taylor, 59, Brodhead, was cited for speeding (16-19 mph over).

●  A juvenile was cited for speeding (16-19 mph over).

●  Teri A. Pryce, 53, Brodhead, was cited for speeding (11-15 mph over).

On Sunday, Sept. 22:

●  Michael W. Hicks, 41, Edgerton, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance and displaying a false vehicle registration plate.

●  Marie C. Salisbury, 69, Verona, was cited for speeding (11-15 mph over) on Friday, Sept. 27.

●  Robert W. Lange, 36, Albany, was cited for driving with a suspended license on Saturday, Sept. 28.

●  Mac H. Carpenter, 30, Shorewood, was cited for speeding (11-15 mph over) on Sunday, Sept. 29.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Sept. 22-28, police performed 60 security checks, 26 citizen assists, five assists of other agencies, 13 follow-ups to incidents and one vehicle registration; responded to 38 calls for service, eight EMS calls, three fire calls and nine 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 11 traffic stops. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Sunday, Sept. 22:

●  A domestic problem involving a verbal altercation was reported at 2:08 p.m. in the 500 block of West 2nd Avenue. It was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office.

●  A Rockford, Illinois man, 24, was cited for speeding and non-registration of an auto at 9:02 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

On Monday, Sept. 23:

●  Fraud was reported at 12:33 p.m. in the 800 block of East Exchange Street. 

On Tuesday, Sept. 24:

●  A Brodhead man, 40, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping at 9:35 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Wednesday, Sept. 25:

●  A Davis, Illinois woman, 63, was cited for speeding at 9:30 a.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Thursday, Sept. 26:

●  A Brodhead man, 51, was cited for driving with a suspended license, no vehicle insurance and hit-and-run on an unattended vehicle at 4:50 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue, following a traffic crash.

●  A Brodhead man, 73, was cited for selling or providing alcohol to an underage person at 5:54 p.m. at a bar in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead woman, 26, was cited for selling or providing alcohol to an underage person at 6:17 p.m. at a different bar in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Friday, Sept. 27:

●  A building code violation was reported at 10:05 a.m. in the 1000 block of 10th Street. It remained under investigation.

●  An Albany woman, 39, was cited for not having vehicle insurance at 12:11 p.m. in the 300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 37, was cited for failure to stop for a school bus at 4:31 p.m. in the 100 block of Juniper Avenue.

On Saturday, Sept. 28:

●  A traffic crash involving one vehicle rear-ending a stopped vehicle was reported at 1:08 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. It remained under investigation.

●  Barking dogs were reported at 7:06 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 4th Avenue. The owner was warned.

●  An Evansville woman was cited for driving without a valid license at 9:50 p.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Lee M. Fitzsimons, 32, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, following a disturbance at a parking lot on Wells Street. He posted bond and was released.

●  Rufino Arguelles, 21, Darlington, was cited for loud and unnecessary noise at about 10:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, following a complaint at a residence on West Harriet Street.

●  Jacob C. Beesecker, 22, Platteville, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 8:22 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

●  Melissa N. Fitzsimons, 32, Darlington, was cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle at 12:48 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, following a traffic stop on Wells Street.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Cyrus T. Fields, 38, Madison, was cited for driving with a revoked license after deputies stopped him for speeding in the N8900 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus, at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

On Wednesday, Sept. 25:

●  Deputies assisted the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office at 12:19 a.m. on West Wilson Street in Blanchardville, Iowa County.

●  Kayla L. Sieverding, 27, Cuba City, was cited for speeding at 12:15 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Daniel K. Daly, 18, Pecatonica, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 4:04 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 7:47 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.
