Albany Police 

ALBANY — On Wednesday, Oct. 16:

●  A juvenile was cited for truancy.

●  A parent was cited for truancy (parental liability).

On Friday, Oct. 18:

●  Ryan C. Pinson, 29, Monroe, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance.

On Sunday, Oct. 27:

●  A juvenile was cited for truancy.

●  Dwayne P. Helmer, 49, Albany, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

●  Viva J. Zink, 47, Albany, was cited for speeding.

●  Jennifer G. Bunner, 40, Madison, was cited for non-registration of an auto.

●  Jennifer M. Bernitt, 44, Albany, was cited for failure to obey a traffic sign.

●  Matthew R. Jensen, 24, Janesville, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance and displaying a false registration plate.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Oct. 20-26, police performed 32 security checks, 43 citizen assists, 13 assists of other agencies, 19 follow-ups to incidents and 14 vehicle registrations; responded to 16 calls for service, 11 EMS calls and 10 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 12 traffic stops. One mental health transport was reported. No fire calls or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, Oct. 20:

●  A vehicle parked left of center facing traffic was reported at 2:58 a.m. in the 200 block of East 10th Street. A warning was issued.

●  Trespassing was reported at 5:27 a.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue. A person had entered a residence without permission. A warning was issued.

●  A Somonauk, Illinois man, 35, was cited for speeding at 3:09 p.m. in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A Somonauk, Illinois man, 35, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone at 3:23 p.m. in the 1200 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  An Edgerton woman, 22, was cited for speeding at 4:42 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street.

●  A Brodhead man, 33, was cited for not having vehicle insurance at 4:55 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

On Monday, Oct. 21:

●  A tree limb in the roadway was reported at 8:41 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 3rd Avenue; at 9:11 a.m. in the 500 block of 7th Street; and at 9:24 a.m. in the 800 block of East 2nd Avenue.

●  A traffic crash was reported at 4:11 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Due to the crash occurring on private property, no citations were issued.

●  Loud music was reported at 6:58 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street. A warning was issued.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22:

●  A Brodhead man, 20, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct at 4:51 p.m. in the 1000 block of 8th Street.

On Friday, Oct. 25:

●  A Janesville man, 44, was cited for speeding at 4:50 a.m. in the 400 block of 1st Street.

●  A person causing a verbal disturbance was reported at 1:18 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The complainant did not wish to press charges.

●  A scam phone call was reported at 1:55 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street.

●  A code violation of a person burning leaves was reported at 6:12 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.


Darlington Police 

DARLINGTON — On Friday, Oct. 18:

●  Lacey F. Leifker, 28, Shullsburg, was referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney for charges of retail theft, misdemeanor bail jumping and felony bail jumping following a shoplifting complaint at a business on Wis. 23.

●  An investigation of an Oct. 1 incident on East Street resulted in the citation of Steven Lauritz, 51, Darlington, for disorderly conduct and Julie Lofftin, 44, Darlington, for obstructing.

On Sunday, Oct. 20:

●  Jonathan Callaway, 18, Monroe, was cited for speeding at 12:39 p.m. following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

On Monday, Oct. 21:

●  Jordan D. Bennett, 20, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 10:16 p.m. following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

On Thursday, Oct. 24:

●  Erica Obrien, 34, Darlington, was cited for texting and driving at 7:38 a.m. following a traffic stop on Center Hill Road.

●  Jake Mittelstaedt, 18, Waterford, was cited for speeding at 1:08 p.m. following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

On Friday, Oct. 25:

●  Laura L. Gundlach, 51, Shullsburg, was cited for driving with a suspended license and without vehicle insurance at about 10:50 p.m. following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

●  Wyat L. Bredeson, 16, Darlington, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at about 11:25 p.m. following a traffic stop on Wis. 23.

On Saturday, Oct. 26:

●  Tanya M. Sigg, 29, Dodgeville, was cited for a child restraint violation at about 1:50 p.m. following a traffic complaint on Wis. 23.

On Sunday, Oct. 27:

●  Christine A. Hess, 45, of Warren, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated on a UTV at 1:39 a.m. following a traffic stop on the Cheese Country Trail. Hess was also cited for refusing to provide a required blood sample.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Michael S. Teal, 49, Monroe, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, third offense, and reckless driving at a railroad crossing after officers on patrol came across a vehicle parked on the railroad tracks in between 13th and 14th Avenues at 11:21 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. He was jailed pending court.

●  Officers were requested to assist a tavern in the 1300 block of 17th Street with a highly intoxicated patron, Kyle R. Johnson, 32, Brodhead, at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. While attempting to locate a responsible person to take Johnson, he became disorderly and created a disturbance, which led to his arrest on a charge of disorderly conduct. He then resisted the officers while they were attempting to take him into custody. He was jailed pending court.

●  Robert L. Terrell, 29, Monroe, was arrested in the 900 block of 20th Avenue at 6:14 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Office. He was jailed.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Steven A. Steiner, 26, Browntown, was arrested at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe at 10:34 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, after the Wisconsin Department of Corrections placed a probation hold on him. He was jailed.

●  Bradley J. Rear, 56, Monroe, was arrested at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe at 9:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was held at the jail.

●  Cody L. Faith, 20, Stoughton, was arrested on a warrant at the Probation and Parole Office in Monroe at 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. He was taken to the jail.

●  Travis A. Vincent, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant at the Probation and Parole Office in Monroe at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. He was taken to the jail.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Monday, Oct. 21:

●  Zachary R. Sell, 30, Fontana, Kansas, was arrested on charges of strangulation, intimidating a witness and disorderly conduct after deputies responded for a welfare check at 1:12 a.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and Warren Police Department assisted on scene.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:22 a.m. on County N, Town of Wiota.

●  Josh L. Broshous, 22, Warren, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:06 a.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot.

●  Jaykub T. Dyson, 18, Warren, was cited for speeding at 6:38 a.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot.

●  A utility problem was reported at 10:24 a.m. on Gravel Run Road, Town of Fayette.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 11:33 a.m. on South Division Street in South Wayne.

●  A traffic hazard of a dog walking on the roadway was reported at 2:10 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Littering was reported at 4:15 p.m. on Sheldon Street in Gratiot.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 6:31 p.m. on Dobbs West Road, Town of Lamont.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:30 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Brenda M. Toj Gomez, 34, Shullsburg, was cited for driving without a valid license and no vehicle insurance at 7:47 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.
