Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of March 14 to March 20, police performed 37 security checks, 24 citizen assists, seven assists of other agencies, 10 follow-ups to incidents, 30 vehicle registration and seven traffic stops; responded to 29 calls for service and reported seven EMS calls, nine 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and three fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

●  A possible probation violation was reported at 1:43 a.m. March 14 in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. This was referred to the Probation and Parole Office. 

On March 15: 

●  A cow by the roadway was reported at 5:27 a.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue. Police did not locate the animal. 

●  A possible no-contact violation was reported at 6:23 a.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street. This was referred to subject’s agent. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 2:13 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue. A warning was issued. 

●  Harassment was reported at 8:48 p.m. in the 400 block of East 5th Avenue. A warning was issued. 

On March 16: 

●  A vehicle in violation of the city’s winter parking ordinance was reported at 2:34 a.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. A citation was issued. 

●  A vehicle parked too far from curb and in lane of traffic was reported at 8:19 a.m. in the 600 block of 10th Street. A warning was issued. 

●  A 15-year-old was cited for inattentive driving at 8:27 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 3rd Avenue. 

●  A Brodhead man, 25, was charged with bail jumping at 6:49 p.m. March 18 in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

On March 19: 

●  A violation of the city’s junk vehicle ordinance was reported at 8:52 a.m. in the 1200 block of 21st Street. This remains under investigation. 

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 12:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The driver returned to pay. 

●  A Brodhead man, 27, was cited for driving after revocation, OWI related, at 9:24 p.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A Madison man, 51, was cited for speeding at 12:05 p.m. March 20 in the 600 block of 1st Street.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Lisa M. Santoro, 48, Monroe, was arrested at 5:06 p.m. March 18 on an outstanding warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. She was jailed. 

On March 19: 

●  Jacob T. Tumpy-Stumlin, 20, Monticello, was cited for driving while suspended, no vehicle insurance and improper display of registration at 2:04 a.m. in the 2700 block of 6th Street. His passenger, Kyle R. Holland, 22, Belleville, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 

●  Isaiah P. Goplin, 19, Oregon, was cited at 2:04 a.m. for underage consumption of alcohol. 

●  Jordan F. Graber, 29, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and fourth-degree sexual assault at 2:09 a.m. March 20 in the 1300 block of 17th Street. He was also charged with resisting arrest. He was jailed. 

●  Kenneth L. Johnson, 58, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws at 5:42 p.m. March 21 in the 2200 block of 4th Avenue West. He was released.  


Green County Sheriff 

MONROE — Dustin J. Olson, 31, Monroe, was arrested on a probation warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 8:31 p.m. March 18 in the W5700 block of Heft Road, Town of Washington. He was jailed. 

●  Michael S. Trumble, 64, Browntown, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct domestic abuse and resisting an officer at 6:16 p.m. March 20 in the W8500 block of Butts Road, Town of Cadiz. He was released.


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — Rebekah Bak, Monticello, was cited for consumption or possession of open alcohol beverage in public area at 7:24 p.m. March 13 in the 400 block of East Coates Avenue. 

On March 15: 

●  No injuries were reported from a motor vehicle accident at 12:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 4:07 p.m. in the 200 block of West Coates Avenue. Everything was fine. 

●  A runaway dog was reported at 6:50 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. The dog returned. 

●  Police assisted Green County EMS and Monticello First Response at 8:22 p.m. within the village. 

On March 16: 

●  Police conducted traffic control for Monticello First Response at 1:38 p.m. on East Coates Avenue at North Main Street. 

●  Police assisted the Argyle Police Department with an investigation at 2:47 p.m. at a residence in Monticello in regards to an incident that occurred in Argyle.

●  Police assisted Green County EMS and Monticello First Response at 6:46 p.m. March 17 within the village. 

On March 18: 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 4:10 p.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. Everything was fine. 

●  A suspicious person was reported at 7:59 p.m. in the 400 block of West Coates Avenue. Everything was fine.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Susan E. Barbee, 60, Darlington, was referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney for charges from a complaint of theft and possession of an unprescribed medication on March 1 on East Catherine Street. 

●  Jeremy A. Richie, 25, Monroe, was cited for possession of open intoxicants in motor vehicle at 10:18 p.m. March 12 on Wis. 81. 

●  Michael A. Godfrey, 46, Argyle, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:56 a.m. March 13 on Louisa Street. 

On March 14: 

●  Hector F. Escoria-Perez, 31, Belmont, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 12:05 a.m. on Wis. 81. He was also cited for driving without a valid license and failure to stop at stop sign. He was released to a responsible party. 

●  Taurino Trujillo-Vega, 29, Darlington, was arrested for bail jumping and driving after revocation at 10 a.m. on Wells Street. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON —On March 7: 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:47 a.m. to North Lake Road, Town of Blanchard. 

●  A parking problem was reported at 9:56 a.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle. 

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 5:27 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wayne. 

●  An erratic driver was reported at 7:47 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. 

●  Deputies responded for a civil dispute at 8:05 p.m. on Faymont Road, Town of Darlington.

On March 8: 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 6:05 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. 

●  Theft was reported at 7:38 a.m. on Field Drive Road, Town of Elk Grove and at 3:30 p.m. on Prairie Road, Town of Seymour. 

●  A deputy responded to keep the peace at 9:35 a.m. on Red Fox Lane, Town of Darlington. 

●  Illegal dumping was reported at 10:07 a.m. on Sand Hill Road, Town of Belmont. 

●  Criminal damage was reported at 3:18 p.m. on Sale Barn Road, Town of Elk Grove. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:56 p.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle. 

●  A deputy responded for a missing person at 7:58 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs. 

On March 9: 

●  A deputy responded for an open door at 1:25 a.m. on Main Street in Blanchardville. 

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 8:25 a.m. on Porter Road, Town of Wayne. 

●  A deputy assisted Argyle police with a juvenile problem at 10:35 a.m. on North Street in Argyle. 

●  Found property was reported at 4:29 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg. 

●  An animal problem was reported at 5:22 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. 

●  Brian T. Blunt, 29, Chicago, was cited for speeding at 7:25 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. 

●  Jared M. Kingery, 22, Gratiot, was cited for operating motorcycle without valid license at 8:34 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. 

●  A deputy responded for a citizen assist at 8:48 p.m. on West Mound View Avenue in Belmont.

On March 10: 

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 5:20 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 7:09 a.m. on West Catherine Street in Darlington. 

●  A civil dispute was reported at 8:23 a.m. on Edison Road, Town of Benton and at 6:20 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont. 

●  An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 7:41 p.m. on Palfrey Road, Town of New Diggings.

On March 11: 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:25 a.m. on Pecatonica Road, Town of Wiota, at 11:33 a.m. on North Lake Road, Town of Blanchard and at 4:31 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont. 

●  A civil dispute was reported at 9:25 a.m. on Galena Street in Argyle. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:59 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. 

On March 12: 

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 9:34 a.m. on West Pleasant Street in South Wayne. 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 11:38 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. Argyle police assisted. 

●  A deputy assisted Monroe police with a welfare check at 2:48 p.m. on Market Street in Belmont. 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:30 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont. 

●  Parker J. Galle, 16, Belmont, was cited for speeding at 7:36 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.
