Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of May 26-June 1, police performed 79 security checks, 53 citizen assists, 10 assists of other agencies, 17 vehicle registrations and 21 follow-ups to incidents; responded to 25 calls for service, seven EMS calls, one fire call and nine 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 10 traffic stops. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, May 26:

●  Subjects in a city park after-hours were reported at 1:28 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police issued warnings.

●  A verbal altercation was reported at 1:37 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue. Police issued warnings.

●  An altercation was reported at 9:06 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. It remained under investigation.

●  An Oconomowoc man, 38, was cited for speeding at 9:15 a.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.

●  A Durand, Illinois woman, 61, was cited for speeding at 2:23 p.m. in the 600 block of 23rd Street.

●  A dog bite was reported at 4:37 p.m. in the 1400 block of West 4th Avenue. The matter was referred to the Green County Health Department.

●  Loud music coming from a residence was reported at 6:37 p.m. in the 1000 block of 19th Street. A warning was issued.

●  A Monroe man, 67, was cited for hit-and-run on property at 8 p.m. following a traffic crash in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue.

On Monday, May 27:

●  A verbal altercation was reported at 12:10 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. The subjects involved did not wish to pursue charges.

●  Loud music coming from a residence was reported at 1:20 a.m. in the 900 block of West 2nd Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  A dog whining behind a residence was reported at 3:29 a.m. in the 300 block of 8th Street. Prior to officer arrival, the owner took the dog inside.

On Tuesday, May 28:

●  A Lincoln, Nebraska man, 80, was cited for speeding at 7:51 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Wednesday, May 29:

●  A vehicle in violation of the city’s June Vehicle ordinance was reported at 9:58 a.m. in the 300 block of 12th Street. A warning was issued.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 10:11 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The driver returned to pay for the gas. No charges were filed.

●  Vehicles parked facing traffic/left of center were reported at 11:50 a.m. in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue and at 5:27 p.m. in the 900 block of West 2nd Avenue. Warnings were issued.

On Thursday, May 30:

●  Police responded at 8:31 a.m. to Decatur Dam Park in the N3800 block of Park Road for a report of two vehicles being driven recklessly in the park on two separate dates. The matter remained under investigation.

●  A turtle in the roadway was reported at 5:38 p.m. in the N400 block of 1st Center Avenue. It was removed from the roadway without incident.

On Friday, May 31:

●  A Janesville man, 62, was cited for speeding at 3:10 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  A Janesville woman, 72, was cited for speeding at 3:48 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  A Brodhead woman, 34, was cited for speeding at 4:01 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  A Janesville man, 61, was cited for speeding at 5:24 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

On Saturday, June 1:

●  Trespassing was reported at 11:23 p.m. in the 600 block of 10th Street. It remained under investigation.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 7:09 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The person returned to pay for the fuel.

●  An animal at large was reported at 8:16 p.m. in the 500 block of 4th Street. The owner was warned.


Albany Police

ALBANY — Samantha M. Lee, 25, Fitchburg, was cited for non-registration of an auto Friday, May 31.

●  Tyler M. Briggs, 27, Brodhead, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration Saturday, June 1. He was also cited for driving without brake lights and without vehicle insurance.

●  Joshua J. Rutherford, 21, Fort Atkinson, was cited for driving with a suspended license, suspended registration and no insurance Saturday, June 1. 

●  Benjamin M. Chicker, 28, Monticello, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant Sunday, June 2. He was also cited for failure to wear a seatbelt, non-registration of an auto and displaying an unauthorized registration plate.

●  Natasha R. Teasdale, 27, Madison, was cited for driving without a valid license Sunday, June 2.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — John L. Witherow, 45, Rock Falls, Illinois, was arrested on a charge of operating a UTV while under the influence of an intoxicant at 1:51 a.m. Saturday, June 1, on Galena Street. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a blood test and for an ATV/UTV access route rules violation.

●  Ashton Jade Leahy, 25, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license at about 9:35 a.m. Sunday, June 2, on Galena Street. She was booked into the jail, then released pending court.

●  Edith Marie Davenport, 45, Benton, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance at about 9:40 a.m. Monday, June 3, on Ravine Street.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Christopher A. Chaddick, 22, Browntown, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while under the influence after officers responded for a welfare check on a possibly unconscious person in a parked vehicle in the 900 block of 14th Avenue at 6:11 a.m. Saturday, June 1. The driver, later identified as Chaddick, began to drive away upon arrival of the officers but was stopped in the 800 block of 14th Avenue. Chaddick was booked and later released pending court. A passenger, James R. Schilz, 21, Monroe, was cited for possession of THC.

●  Chelsea R. Knell, 29, Monroe, was arrested for bail jumping and cited for driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop in the 400 block of 22nd Avenue at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, June 2. Knell was jailed pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe at 2:54 p.m. Monday, June 3, and arrested Antonio J. Addison, 23, Monroe, due to a probation hold placed on him by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

On Tuesday, June 4:

●  Jeremy L. Harnish, 36, Stoughton, was cited for driving without a valid license (second offense within three years) following a traffic stop for speeding at 4:59 p.m. in the N5000 block of Wis. 104, Town of Decatur.

●  William P. Osbaugh, 24, Brodhead, was arrested on a Green County warrant at 9:22 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street in Brodhead. He was jailed pending bond or an initial court appearance.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Saturday, May 25:

●  A deputy assisted a motorist at 11:31 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

●  Travis L. Crist, 40, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after a deputy assisted the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources at 11:38 p.m. on Meylor Lane, Town of Willow Springs. Crist was transported to the jail, where he was released to a responsible party.

●  A deputy came upon trespassing at 11:44 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

On Sunday, May 26:

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 2:03 a.m. on East Roosevelt Street in Cuba City. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Platteville Police Department and Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

●  Morgan J. Pittz, 25, Webster City, Iowa, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 5:42 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded for an alarm at 5:57 a.m. on West Mound Avenue in Belmont.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:49 a.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:38 a.m. on Silverthorn Road, Town of New Diggings.

●  Mikayla V. Gilberts, 26, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 2:57 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Lori A. Bordner, 52, and Jeffrey M. Wymore, 57, both of Shullsburg, were cited for disorderly conduct after deputies responded for a domestic dispute at 3:04 p.m. on Palfrey Road, Town of New Diggings.

●  Eluit Cvo-Landa, 34, Belmont, and Arnulfo Solano-Hernandez, 61, Darlington, were cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle after a deputy conducted a traffic stop at 5 p.m. on North Mound Avenue in Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to assist a motorist at 6:01 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 7:21 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8 p.m. on County W, Town of Benton.

●  Emily L. Varnes, 29, Bloomington, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after a deputy responded at 9:29 p.m. to a complaint of an erratic driver on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. She was booked at the jail and later released to a responsible party. She was also cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

On Monday, May 27:

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with a traffic stop at 2:08 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 3:05 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Benton.

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 5:46 a.m. on Blackhawk Road, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 9:24 a.m. on County Q, Town of Shullsburg. Shullsburg police assisted on scene.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 11:29 a.m. on Elm Street in Argyle.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 3:18 p.m. on North Van Buren Street in Benton.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:37 p.m. on Old Q Road, Town of Blanchard.

●  Imran A. Khan, 39, Machesney Park, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 4:49 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  A deputy responded to keep the peace at 5:20 p.m. on County S, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Michael E. Walker, 25, Gratiot, was cited for speeding at 5:32 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 5:53 p.m. on Wis. 126 in Belmont.

On Tuesday, May 28:

●  Douglas J. Forbes, 27, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 12:20 a.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 6:02 a.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 10:52 a.m. on Sunny Lane, Town of Belmont.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 11:47 a.m. on Gun Club Road, Town of Darlington.

●  An ATV complaint was reported at 2:04 p.m. on South McKnight Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to assist with traffic control at 4:20 p.m. on East Platteville Avenue in Belmont.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 5:13 p.m. on McClintock Lane, Town of Blanchard.

●  James L. Ladow, 52, South Wayne, reported hitting a dog at 5:56 p.m. on County D, Town of Wayne. The 2011 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

●  Nancy L. Pfaff, 44, Gratiot, was arrested and jailed on a probation and parole warrant after a deputy responded for a welfare check at 6:46 p.m. on County K, Town of Gratiot.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:06 p.m. on West Riverside Road, Town of Gratiot.

On Wednesday, May 29:

●  A deputy assisted the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 7:16 a.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:21 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:43 p.m. on Willow Springs Lane, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 8:20 p.m. on Martin Road, Town of Shullsburg.
