MONROE — Chad A. Fortney Sr., 44, Monroe, was arrested in the 2500 block of 12th Street at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, on a probation and parole warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.
On Friday, Jan. 4:
● William B. Robison, 25, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of operating while under the influence of an intoxicant and driving with a suspended license at 1:01 a.m. in the 800 block of 10th Street. He was released pending court.
● Dennis E. Beutel, 48, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping at 11:18 p.m. in the 600 block of 30th Street. He was jailed pending court.
On Sunday, Jan. 6:
● Jeffrey K. Norton, 32, Monroe, was arrested at 2:13 a.m. in the 2500 block of 13th Street on a warrant issued by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for failure to pay child support. Norton was also arrested on a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping, for violating his court-ordered bond conditions, and jailed.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS — On Sunday, Dec. 30:
● Police were dispatched at 1:43 p.m. to check the welfare of a suicidal subject. The person was taken into protective custody and later voluntarily committed to a facility for help.
● A vehicle in the 500 block of 8th Street was cited at 11:45 p.m. for being parked in violation of a 24-hour parking limit.
On Monday, Dec. 31:
● Police investigated a disabled vehicle in the 800 block of 10th Avenue at 4:33 p.m. The owner explained the situation to police and said the vehicle will be removed within a few days.
On Tuesday, Jan. 1:
● Police assisted a woman trying to locate her husband at 1:25 a.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street.
● Brittany J. Collins, 30, Brodhead, was cited for failing to report a car crash, inattentive driving and driving with a suspended license after police located an abandoned vehicle at 3:47 p.m. in the 600 block of Elmer Road. The vehicle had jumped the curb and was stuck in the Valle Tell Soccer Park.
● Police were requested at the scene of a civil dispute regarding child custody at 5:56 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street. Police responded and kept the peace.
● An alarm at a business was reported at 11:06 p.m. in the 1300 block of Wis. 69. Everything was found to be all right.
On Wednesday, Jan. 2:
● Barking dogs were reported at 9 a.m. in the 100 block of 2nd Street. The owner was warned.
● Otis I. Dawson, 34, Freeport, was arrested and jailed on a warrant after police stopped a vehicle for a vehicle registration violation at 11:15 a.m. on Wis. 69. He was also cited for the registration violation.
● Bradley J. Tibbits, 35, Mineral Point, was cited at 2:43 p.m. for driving with a license that expired within the past three months and for not wearing a seatbelt.
● A black duffle bag with “Findorf” written on the side and a set of winter boots inside was reported missing at 4:27 p.m.
● A missing juvenile was reported at 4:34 p.m. in the 500 block of 8th Street. Shortly after the call was made, the juvenile was located and was found to be fine.
On Thursday, Jan. 3:
● Police received a complaint at 2:35 p.m. of a boy who exposed himself to other juveniles. Green County Human Services was contacted, and the incident is still under investigation.
● At 3:04 p.m., police received another complaint of a boy exposing himself to other juvenile students The incident is under investigation and will be referred for charges in juvenile court in Green County.
● Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a one-vehicle crash and arrest at 3:14 p.m. on Wis. 69 at County H.
● A parking complaint was reported at 7:05 p.m. in the 300 block of 4th Avenue.
● Police investigated a car crash in the New Glarus High School parking lot at 8:19 p.m.
On Friday, Jan. 4:
● A vehicle was cited for an alternate-side parking violation at 1:02 a.m. in the 10 block of 10th Avenue.
● A vehicle was cited for an alternate-side parking violation at 1:10 a.m. in the 400 block of 7th Avenue.
● Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at 1:21 a.m. in the 900 block of 4th Street.
● A fraud-type check cashed at a business in New Glarus was reported at 10:39 a.m.
● An abandoned vehicle in the 1400 block of Wis. 69 was reported at 8:47 p.m.
● Jayden L. Schlueter, 16, Belleville, was cited for a violation of graduated driver’s license restrictions at 9:32 p.m. on Railroad Street at 5th Avenue.
● A vehicle was cited for a 24-hour parking limit violation at 10 p.m. in the 300 block of 5th Avenue.
● Holly R. Tessmer, 35, New Glarus, was cited for display of an unauthorized vehicle registration at 10:38 p.m. on 14th Avenue at 5th Street.
On Saturday, Jan. 5:
● A vehicle was cited for a 24-hour parking violation at 1:59 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
● Police issued seven citations for alternate-side parking violations.
● Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a one-vehicle rollover accident with injuries at 8:05 a.m. on Wis. 39 at Durst Road.
● Police received a request for a welfare check at 12:48 p.m. in the 900 block of 1st Street. The problem was resolved before police arrival.
● Police took custody of a dog running at large at 2:01 p.m. and returned the dog to its owner.
● Salvador Martell-Sanchez, 30, Monroe, was cited for illegal window-tinting and driving without a valid license at 4:18 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.
● Police assisted the Belleville Police Department at 9:33 p.m. with attempting to locate a person that had fled from an officer.
● Police removed a plastic item from the roadway at 11:42 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.
On Sunday, Jan. 6:
● Police assisted with unlocking a vehicle for a person who had locked their keys in their vehicle at 9:17 a.m. in the 200 block of 12th Avenue.
● Steven M. Steiner, 57, Orangeville, was arrested at 9:42 a.m. on warrants issued through the Green County Sheriff’s Office and Monroe Police Department. He was transported to and booked into the Green County Jail.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — Charles F. Marshall Jr., 35, Belleville, was cited for speeding, driving with a revoked license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 4:01 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, in the N5800 block of Wis. 69, Town of Mount Pleasant.
On Thursday, Jan. 3:
● Deputies responded to a complaint at 3:14 p.m. of a vehicle traveling in the opposite lane of traffic that had run an opposing vehicle off the roadway, near Wis. 69 and County H, Town of New Glarus. Investigation revealed that Jesse A. Evanovich, 40, Monroe, was southbound when he lost control and his vehicle left the road and crashed in the east ditch. He reported no injuries. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed. Evanovich was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle. He was released pending court.
● Chase S. Norton, 23, Mineral Point, was arrested on charges of substantial battery and disorderly conduct stemming from a physical altercation that occurred at about 3:08 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, in the 100 block of North Main Street in Monticello. He later signed a $1,000 signature bond in Green County Circuit Court with conditions that he not drink or go into bars or liquor stores, or have contact with the alleged victim. He has a preliminary hearing Feb. 8.
On Friday, Jan. 4:
● Shaun M. Kelley, 25, Monroe, was taken into custody on a warrant at 4:03 p.m. He was held at the Green County Jail.
On Saturday, Jan. 5:
● Joshua R. Tree, 26, Argyle, was arrested on a Green County warrant after deputies responded at 10:25 p.m. to a report of an altercation at a residence in the N2300 block of Brodhead Airport Road, Town of Spring Grove. He was jailed pending court.
On Sunday, Jan. 6:
● Dustin A. Trumpy, 25, Monticello, was cited for hit-and-run on property adjacent to the highway and for failure to keep a vehicle under control following an investigation into a damaged feed bunker. At 8:51 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the N5000 block of Dutch Hollow Road, Town of Mount Pleasant, for a report of a feed bunker that had been struck by a vehicle. The offending vehicle had fled the scene. Trumpy was later identified as the driver. Investigation revealed he hit the feed bunker with his vehicle the previous evening and drove from the scene. His vehicle sustained damage as well.
● Kelli L. Runkle, 64, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies responded at 6:32 p.m. to a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the N2300 block of Bethel Road. Runkle had attempted to turn the vehicle around when it became stuck on landscaping blocks. She was jailed pending her release to a responsible party.

ALBANY — James M. McConnell, 33, Madison, was cited for driving with a revoked license on Sunday, Jan. 6.

DARLINGTON — On Sunday, Dec. 30:
● Traci J. Luebke, 52, South Wayne, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance as a result of a traffic stop on Center Hill Road on Dec. 13.
● David Hernandez-Hernandez, 21, Galena, Illinois, was cited for driving without a valid license (second offense) and operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 7:04 p.m. on Galena Street.
On Monday, Dec. 31:
● Courtney G. Wallin, 21, Mineral Point, was cited for speeding at about 1:20 p.m. on Wis. 23.
● Danilo Perea-Lagos, 37, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at 10:09 p.m. on Ann Street.
On Wednesday, Jan. 2:
● Daniel F. Baumgartner, 32, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 2:06 a.m. on Louisa Street.
