Monroe Police

MONROE — A traffic stop in the 2200 block of 9th Street at 1 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, resulted in citations against three teenagers. Dixie R. Wettach, 17, Monticello, was cited for violating absolute sobriety while driving. A 17-year-old male passenger from Monroe was issued citations for juvenile court for underage drinking and possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. A second passenger, Jahir Valentin, 18, Monroe, was cited for underage drinking. All three were released to responsible parties pending court.

●  Retail theft was reported at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West at 4:12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23. The offender had left prior to police arrival. With assistance of the Green County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, Alexis L. Furino, 27, Brodhead, was located at a residence outside of Brodhead. She responded to the Monroe Police Department at 5:38 p.m. to meet with officers and was subsequently arrested on a charge of retail theft as well as on a hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Division. She was jailed.


Albany Police

ALBANY — Gerard J. Molloy, 23, Albany, was cited Dec. 2 for non-registration of an auto.

●  David A. Hardy, 49, Monroe, was cited Dec. 11 for driving with a suspended license and non-registration of an auto.

●  Kortney M. Lisser, 35, Albany, was arrested Dec. 13 on a probation warrant.

●  Jacob S. Elmer, 20, Albany, was cited Dec. 14 for underage possession of alcohol.

●  Chrisanthalyn M. Tackett, 19, Albany, was cited Dec. 14 for driving with a suspended license.

●  Andres Perez Viveros, 26, Monroe, was cited Dec. 15 for driving without a valid license and without vehicle insurance.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Dec. 8-14, police performed 33 security checks, 42 citizen assists, 13 assists of other agencies, 10 follow-ups to incidents and six vehicle registrations; responded to 13 calls for service, five EMS calls, one fire call and 14 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made seven traffic stops. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, Dec. 8:

●  A vehicle traveling all over the road was reported at 11:01 p.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue. The vehicle was not located.

On Monday, Dec. 9:

●  Police responded at 3:19 p.m. to the 900 block of East 9th Avenue to check the welfare of a person who had not been seen after leaving a residence on foot. The person was located and was fine.

On Tuesday, Dec. 10:

●  A suspicious truck left in the area of the N3800 block of Park Road was reported at 4:59 a.m. Police checked, and it was a construction vehicle.

●  A teen was cited for possession of THC at 10:31 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

●  Possible fraud was reported at 1:08 p.m. in the 200 block of Juniper Avenue. Police made contact and were shown a letter that had been sent around the neighborhood advertising the neighborhood-based social network NextDoor.com, which is a legitimate business and not a fraud. B19-8931

●  Police responded to check welfare at 3:11 p.m. at a local business in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. The person requesting the check reported there was no answer when calling the business. Police made contact, and the business was extremely busy with the holiday season.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11:

●  A teen was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 1:37 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

On Thursday, Dec. 12:

●  A Madison man, 45, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated as a result of a welfare check at 4:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  An injured fox was reported at 5:14 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. The animal was not located.

On Friday, Dec. 13:

●  A loose dog was reported at 12:13 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. The dog was located and taken to the Green County Humane Society.

●  Vandalism to a street sign was reported at 1:20 a.m. in the 700 block of McEwen Street.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 9:08 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Saturday, Dec. 14:

●  A Brodhead man, 41, was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant at 8:30 a.m. in the 300 block of East 9th Avenue.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Gumersindo Amayo-Tlehuactle, 20, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, following a traffic stop on Kennedy Drive. Amayo-Tlehuactle was also cited for underage drinking and driving without a valid license.

●  Mikayla V. Gilberts, 26, Darlington, was cited for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 8:02 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, following a traffic stop on Alice Street.

On Saturday, Dec. 21:

●  Dusty R.A. Weber, 29, Hazel Green, was cited for no vehicle insurance at about 1:30 a.m. on Ames Road.

●  Robert J. Freeman, 51, Edgerton, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license at about 2:10 a.m. on Wis. 81.

●  A Darlington man, 26, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and driving without a valid license at 8:51 a.m. after he passed an unmarked police car in a no-passing zone on Galena Street. He was jailed. Police later determined he lied about his identity by giving a false name. His real name is Melvin Ramos-Gonzalez and he is wanted by Texas authorities for assault. Ramos-Gonzalez was then also charged with obstructing an officer. In addition, Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a detainer on him and planned to take custody of him.

On Sunday, Dec. 22:

●  Miguel A. Amaya-Mendez, 35, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at about 1:50 a.m. on Kennedy Drive.

●  Alberto Rodriguez-Hernandez, 28, Shannon, Illinois, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at about 3:20 a.m. following a traffic stop on Galena Street. He was also cited for driving without a valid license and operating left of center.

On Monday, Dec. 23:

●  A car was reported stolen from an address on East Street at 10:53 a.m. It was later learned the vehicle was not stolen and the complainant, Paula Perrin, 47, Platteville, filed a false report to avoid being held accountable for wrecking the car in Green County. She was arrested at 1:23 p.m. on a Department of Corrections probation and parole hold and booked into the jail, as she is on extended supervision out of Iowa County for her eighth conviction of operating while intoxicated. She is also being referred for criminal charges of obstructing an officer and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Guillermo Trinidad Soberano, 38, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license (second offense within three years) at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the W8900 block of County B, Town of Cadiz.

●  Jesus Villalba Diaz, 43, Brodhead, was cited for speeding and driving with a revoked license (revocation related to alcohol) at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, in the N3400 block of County S, Town of Sylvester.

On Tuesday, December 24:

●  Cyndle R. Wilkens, 28, Monroe, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 6:53 p.m. to a residence in the W5300 block of Round Grove Road, Town of Monroe, for a report of a disturbance. She was jailed pending court or bond.

●  Jean A. Pick, 48, Monroe, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 9:13 p.m. to a residence in the N3100 block of Forest Prairie Park Road, Town of Sylvester, for a report of a disturbance. She was taken to the jail, where she was released after bond was posted.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Tuesday, Dec. 10:

●  Jason S. L. Davel, 25, South Milwaukee, was cited for speeding at 12:04 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.

●  Identity theft was reported at 8:47 a.m. on County H, Town of Benton.

●  Lettittia M. Brown, 34, Argyle, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 9:33 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 1:43 p.m. on Ames Branch Road, Town of Shullsburg.

●  James D. Svindland, 51, Kenosha, was cited for speeding at 4:25 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 6:23 p.m. on Noble Street in Gratiot.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11:

●  An animal problem was reported at 9:23 a.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Willow Springs.

●  An injured deer was reported at 12:30 p.m. on Gant Road, Town of Fayette.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 6:29 p.m. on East Pleasant Street in South Wayne.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 7:08 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

On Thursday, Dec. 12:

●  A deputy responded at 8:49 a.m. to provide traffic control on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:50 a.m. on Main Street in Blanchardville.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:24 p.m. on County A, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 4:12 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

On Friday, Dec. 13:

●  A deputy responded to assist with unlocking a vehicle at 7:26 a.m. on Palfrey Road, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:02 p.m. on Heller Court in Shullsburg.

●  Philip E. Cable, 57, Evanston, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 6:49 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  A deputy responded to assist with unlocking a vehicle at 7:09 p.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne. The man who requested the assist then reported concerns about suspicious vehicles making laps around the block. It turned out to be a woman driving around the block waiting to pick up her brother from a local bar and nothing suspicious.

●  Christopher K. Moesta, 58, Cassville, was cited for speeding at 7:47 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:08 p.m. on White Lane, Town of Gratiot. As a result, Jon A. Neff, 57, Gratiot, was cited for no vehicle insurance and trespassing on private property with a vehicle.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:15 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.

On Saturday, Dec. 14:

●  An erratic driver was reported at 1:41 a.m. on North Van Buren Street in Benton.

●  Nathan S. Reichling, 38, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after deputies responded at 3:04 a.m. to Engelke Drive in Belmont to assist Belmont police with a traffic stop. Darlington police assisted on scene. Reichling was released to a responsible party.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:33 a.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.

●  A deputy responded to assist the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 8:31 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:56 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:07 a.m. on South Broad Street in Argyle.

●  An animal injured on the roadway was reported at 11:07 a.m. on Blackhawk Road, Town of Monticello.

●  A 911 misdial was reports at 2:50 p.m. on Hicks Road, Town of Gratiot.

●  Matthew T. Greene, 23, Lena, was cited for speeding at 4:20 p.m. on County I, Town of New Diggings.

●  Conner T. Menke, 18, Dyersville, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 5:48 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 5:58 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Joseph G. Hull, 27, Darlington, was cited for speeding at 7:35 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Philip M. Puckorius, 63, Chicago, was cited for speeding at 8:05 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.
