Monroe Police

MONROE — Derek J. Grinnell, 31, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Community Corrections probation or parole warrant at 10:56 a.m. Aug. 14 in the 500 block of West 21st Street. He was jailed.

●  Tabitha J. Joslin, 29, Blanchardville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at 4:13 a.m. Aug. 16 in the 2000 block of 4th Street after an officer responded to a request for a welfare check on her. She was jailed pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — William L. Kuntz, 18, Browntown, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at 2:48 p.m. Aug. 13 at a residence in the 300 block of East Dale Street in Browntown. He was jailed pending court.

●  Duane A. Zoller, 52, Monticello, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 11:17 a.m. Aug. 14 in the 100 block of North Mechanic Street in Albany.

On Aug. 15:

●  Daisy Morales, 20, Freeport, was cited for speeding and driving without a license at 4:55 p.m. in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Albany.

●  A westbound vehicle in the eastbound lanes was reported at 9:43 p.m. on Wis. 11 and County KK, Town of Sylvester. Jaime Roblero-Roblero, 28, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license and driving the wrong way on a divided highway.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Aug. 9-Aug. 15, police performed 54 security checks, 21 citizen assists, 17 assists of other agencies, four follow-ups to incidents, 22 vehicle registrations and five traffic stops; responded to 39 calls for service and reported 12 EMS calls, 17 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Aug. 9:

●  A public order violation involving no masks being worn by staff was reported at 1:40 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue and at 1:44 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Staff were reminded of the state order.

●  A curfew violation involving people in a city park after-hours was reported at 2:51 a.m. at Headgates park, W705 Golf Course Rd. Warnings were issued.

●  A Brodhead man, 24, was cited for nuisance involving a dangerous animal at 12:11 p.m. in the 600 block of East 4th Ave.

●  A Brodhead woman, 25, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct at 3:13 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

On Aug. 10:

●  A phone call scam was reported at 12:18 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 3rd Avenue.

●  A two-vehicle crash caused by severe weather and a downed tree was reported at 3:31 p.m. in the 900 block of East 5th Avenue. No citations were issued.

●  A dog at large was reported at 8:07 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued.

On Aug. 11:

●  Two people in an argument were reported at 10:04 a.m. in the 1900 block of 1st Center Avenue. They left prior to police arrival.

●  A parking violation involving a truck with its wheels on the curb was reported at 12:33 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street. A warning was issued.

●  A barking dog was reported at 9:01 p.m. in the 400 block of 14th Street. A warning was issued.

●  A Juda man, 36, was arrested on a charge of possession of THC at 9:29 p.m. He was cited for driving with a revoked license, non-registration of an auto and displaying unauthorized registration plates. A bail jumping charge was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office for a decision.

On Aug. 12:

●  A dog at large was reported at 5:32 a.m. in the 700 block of East Exchange Street. A warning was issued.

●  A Beloit man, 19, was cited for speeding at 10:02 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  Children riding a Big Wheel in the roadway were reported at 7:21 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. They were not located.

On Aug. 13:

●  Harassment involving unsolicited phone calls was reported at 11:55 a.m. in the 1500 block of West 7th Avenue.

●  A dog left in a car was reported at 1:09 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue in the east alley. The vehicle was gone prior to police arrival.

On Aug. 14:

●  A juvenile was cited for a curfew violation at 12:34 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A dog at large was reported at 8:58 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.

On Aug. 15:

●  A juvenile was arrested on charges of possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of tobacco at 10:01 p.m. in the 2200 block of 1st Center Avenue.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — 

●  Daniel Mayahua, 27, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license, display of unauthorized plates, non-registration of auto and no vehicle insurance at 4:48 a.m. Aug. 10 on East North Street.

●  Salvador Ayala-Mendoza, 22, Darlington, was cited for disorderly conduct at 2:16 a.m. Aug. 13 following a complaint on East North Street.

On Aug. 12:

●  Glenn Kendall, 62, Darlington, was cited for junk following a complaint at a residence on Cornelia Street.

●  Thomas Fisher, 72, Hartford, was cited for junk following a complaint in the rear alleyway of a Main Street property.

●  Joshua Bockorny, 30, and Elizabeth Gregory, 28, both of Darlington, were cited for forgery following an investigation into forged checks written to a business on Main Street. Bockorny was also cited for obstruction.


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On July 31:

●  An overfilled dumpster for the past three months was reported at 8:27 a.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. The waste and removal company was contacted and the issue resolved.

●  An ID card and ID card holder was found at 11 a.m. in the 100 block of Urban Road.

●  Joshua D. Swenson, 38, Oregon, was cited for an expired vehicle registration at 7:22 p.m. on West Coates Avenue at Washington Street.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 8:03 p.m. on Staedtler Avenue at North Main Street. The vehicle was removed by the owner.

●  Police assisted the Monticello Fire Department with a paper service at 10:25 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street.

On Aug. 1:

●  A parking violation was reported at 12:46 a.m. on East Lake Avenue at South Pratt Road. The vehicle was later removed.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 1:03 p.m. in the 100 block of East Lake Avenue.

●  Police removed debris from the roadway at 3:46 p.m. in the 400 block of West Coates Avenue.

●  Police assisted the Dane County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle crash that occurred in Dane County at 4 a.m.

●  An unsecured premise was reported at 4:41 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. Everything was fine.

●  Michela M. Kastner, 21, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license and failure to notify DMV of an address change at 5:21 p.m. on East Wisconsin Avenue at Adams Road.

●  Police assisted Monticello First Response and Monroe EMS at 6:11 p.m. in the village.

●  Police responded to check welfare at 7:01 p.m. in the 100 block of East Coates Avenue.

●  Police located an unlocked building at 8:52 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. The building was secured and the owner notified.

●  Police located a vehicle after-hours in Montesian Park at 9:26 p.m. The vehicle was removed by the owner.

●  Police located a disabled vehicle at 11:11 p.m. on Wis. 69 at Lake Avenue. The vehicle was removed by the owner.

On Aug. 2:

●  A parking violation was reported at 12:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of East Lake Avenue. The vehicle was removed.

●  A 911 hang-up was reported at 2:40 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street and at 6:24 p.m. in the 500 block of East Lake Avenue. In both cases, everything appeared to be fine.

On Aug. 3:

●  Police assisted Verona police with a paper service at 10:12 a.m. in the 400 block of South Monroe Street.

On Aug. 4:

●  Police assisted Dane County Human Services with an investigation at 8:09 a.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 9:36 a.m. in the 400 block of South Monroe Street.

●  Tall grass and weeds were reported at 4:17 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. The property owners were contacted.

On Aug. 5:

●  Debris was reported at 9:54 a.m. on Wis. 69 near Lake Avenue. The Monticello Public Works Department removed the debris from the roadway.

●  A dog at large was reported at 11:37 a.m. in the 600 block of South Monroe Street.

●  A driving complaint was reported at 12:45 p.m. in the 100 block of East Highland Avenue. Police made contact and everything appeared to be okay.

On Aug. 6:

●  Police responded to check welfare at 10:55 a.m. in the 100 block of East Lake Avenue.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 11:55 a.m. in the 400 block of south Monroe Street.

●  A 911 hang-up was reported at 12:04 p.m. in the 400 block of South Monroe Street. Everything appeared to be okay.

●  Police assisted a citizen regarding use of UTV/ATVs at 12:43 p.m. in the village.

●  Timothy Faber, 29, Monticello, was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt at 2:23 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  Scott A. Golackson, 46, Monroe, was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt at 3:09 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  Fraud was reported at 3:10 p.m. in the 400 block of Washington Street.

●  Tyler J. Stutz, 34, West Bend, was cited for excessive vehicle window tinting.

●  Police assisted a citizen with vehicle registration questions at 3:45 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Joshua Mueller, 40, Monroe, was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt at 4:02 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  A driving complaint was reported at 5:11 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue. Everything appeared to be fine.

●  Jerry A. Allison, 39, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license and Peter P. Belletiere, 37, Monroe, was cited for possession of marijuana and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle at 5:52 p.m. on West Coates Avenue at Wis. 69.

●  Justin M. Warner, 40, Arbor Vitae, was cited for driving with a suspended license and an expired vehicle registration at 6:38 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  Evodio Francisco Lopez, 49, Monroe, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 7:15 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  Aaron K. Heft, 25, Monticello, was cited for possession of marijuana at 7:58 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

On Aug. 7:

●  Police assisted Dane County Sheriff’s Office with a vehicle crash that occurred in Dane County at 4:14 p.m.

●  Police assisted the Milwaukee Veteran Affairs Hospital with a welfare check at 4:32 p.m. 

●  Bail jumping was reported at 5:21 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street.

●  Kelly M. Prechel, 39, Monroe, was cited for speeding at 6:09 p.m. on East Coates Avenue at North Lincoln Street.

●  Maurice D. King, 49, Monroe, was cited for driving a motor vehicle with insurance at 7:35 p.m. on Wis. 69 at West Coates Avenue.

●  Troy R. Stodola, 43, South Wayne, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 8:37 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. 

On Aug. 8:

●  Police responded to check welfare after receiving a report of a large farm tractor running with no one around at 2:25 a.m. in the 300 block of East Coates Avenue. Everything was OK.

●  Police assisted with a vehicle unlock at 4:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street.

●  Police responded to a tree down on power lines at 11:34 p.m. on East Park Avenue. The tree was removed and power restored. The Monticello Fire Department and Alliant Energy assisted.

On Aug. 9:

●  A dog at large was reported at 7:55 p.m. in the 100 block of South Main Street. The dog was secured by the owner.

On Aug. 10:

●  Police assisted Monticello First Response and Monroe EMS at 7:56 a.m. within the village.
