DARLINGTON - A signature bond was set at $50,000 for a Shullsburg man charged with causing the death of his girlfriend by driving drunk and crashing her car in August 2011.
Kyle Lee Monahan, 23, made his initial appearance in court Monday, Sept. 24, on three felony homicide charges filed last month in Lafayette County Circuit Court.
All three charges are related to the death of 21-year-old Rebecca Lynn Cushman, a native of Rumford, Maine. She was pronounced dead at an area hospital following the accident Aug. 20, 2011 on Dunbarton Road east of Shullsburg.
Conditions of Monahan's signature bond include that he not drink or enter establishments that sell primarily alcohol.
His preliminary hearing is Oct. 26. He is being represented by Lancaster attorney Thomas Schrader.
