The Casino bar and dining facilities in Monticello circa 1965. Bill and Mary Gibbons bought the hotel building known as the Monticello House from William and Belle Elliot in November of 1954. In 1965, Don and Judy Hoesly bought the dining facilities of the Monticello House from Dick and Sue Wong. The Hoesly’s bought the entire building from Judy’s parents, Bill and Judy Gibbons, in the 1970’s. The restaurant was known as the Casino. The Blue Chip Lounge was added in 1974. Today it is the Pink Heifer Saloon & Smokehouse. The business is located in 149 N Main St, Monticello. Visit monticellohistoricalsociety.org for more.
