APPLETON — Wisconsin Connections Academy, a leading online public school for students across the state, is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s graduates in a traditional graduation ceremony.

On May 31 at 6:30 p.m., students, families, and friends cheered as graduates crossed the stage to receive their high school diplomas at the James Perry Theater at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Fox Cities Campus. Graduates of Wisconsin Connections Academy have earned a multitude of scholarships, acceptances to colleges across the nation, and some are already on their career paths. Among these students include Monroe’s own, Gavin Walters.

“We give students the opportunity to build their skill sets while they expand their minds. Through courses in finance, marketing, psychology, criminal justice and more, students can explore their interests and prepare for future careers,” said Michelle Mueller, school leader for Wisconsin Connections Academy. “Every day as our students log on to school, they are building both knowledge and character. They’ve also built strong relationships with their teachers over the years. We know our graduates are ready for the future in the fields they desire,” she added.

Wisconsin Connections Academy’s Class of 2023 graduates plan to enter the workforce, attend two-or four-year colleges or universities, while others plan to receive vocational training or take a gap year.

With more than 20 years’ experience providing students a welcoming and distraction-free learning environment, Wisconsin Connections Academy serves more than 550 students in grades 4K-12 across the state. The school offers learning plans that are flexible and can be tailored to match a child’s needs and abilities.

Wisconsin Connections Academy’s state-certified teachers work hard to foster meaningful connections by providing individualized student attention and a positive, engaging learning environment.

Students have regular opportunities to share ideas, compare experiences, and have fun learning with their peers through online classroom sessions.
