MONROE -The Monroe Campus of Blackhawk Technical College has a variety of new classes with start dates next week.
Spanish for Absolute Beginner - a beginning level class for students with no prior knowledge of the Spanish language with emphasis on speaking and understanding simple conversations, is scheduled to start Monday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for 12 sessions.
Sign Language for Beginners - this course using American Sign Language focuses on practicing signing techniques at the beginning level for hearing students. The class is scheduled to start on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. for 10 sessions.
Microsoft Word/Beginning - the popular Word software can be used to create, modify, print, save and retrieve documents. Learn how to do all these functions as well as how to customize your document. This class is scheduled to start on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for 5 sessions.
Personal Care Worker - this 40 hour course prepares participants to assist clients or family members with personal and restorative health care functions. The class is scheduled to start on Thursday, Feb. 7, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and meet for 10 sessions.
Microsoft Excel/Beginning - with this popular spreadsheet software you will learn commands and functions to select, copy, and move ranges as well as how to set up formulas and customize your spreadsheets. The class is scheduled to start on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. for 5 sessions.
Photoshop Basics - learn how to get the most out of this powerful graphics program. Photoshop has become a standard tool for enhancing images/designs for photographs, the web, and other media. The class is scheduled to start on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and meet for four sessions.
