MONROE - Monroe Clinic's parish nurse program is partnering with Hope Evangelical Free Church to hold a Parish Nurse Health Fair from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Hope Evangelical Free Church, 2902 13th St., Monroe.
Parish nurse Lori Vogel invites all members of the community to attend this event to learn more about wellness and prevention of disease. The event is free and registration is not required.
Representatives from Monroe Clinic will offer free blood pressure screenings and information on healthy eating, exercise and hospice care. Gaines Richardson, M.D. from Monroe Clinic, will be on hand to offer information on palliative care.
Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation will be offering free bone density testing. Madison Area Technical College will offer blood sugar and cholesterol screenings. Representatives from the Green County Health Department will have information available on a variety of health topics including disaster kits and smoking cessation programs. Staff will be on hand to answer questions about the new Fowler Memorial Free Dental Clinic.
