MONROE - Downtown Monroe is Truckin' - with a promotion for the remainder of the streetscape construction project around the city's Square.
Now through the end of construction, a toy dump truck will be visible at a different downtown business every day. The dump truck will travel each day from business to business on and around the Square.
Find the toy truck and register for a basket of gifts, treats, treasures and gift certificates.
Each Friday, beginning Aug. 28, the truck will be "dumped," and a winner for that week's basket will be selected at random.
After 11 weeks, all entries will be dumped back together for the selection of a grand prize winner.
Main Street, The Monroe Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry and many area businesses have joinedto provide the contents of the 11 baskets and grand prize, which combined are a $3,000 value.
