MADISON — Jaci Moseley, Darlington, was one of 23 students involved in creating the 18th edition of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Curb magazine, which focuses on the power of decision-making. The magazine launched in December following the stories of those who are charting the course of Wisconsin’s future through their individual choices.
The magazine, titled “CURB Navigate,” is based on the idea that while making choices isn’t always easy, it can be exhilarating. As a new decade filled with both possibility and uncertainty nears, CURB Navigate explores how Wisconsinites are rising to the challenge of choosing between diverging paths. Whether it’s the changing landscape of solar energy, dealing with an invasive species or evaluating Wisconsin’s fate in the 2020 presidential election, there are a lot of decisions to be made.

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Nicole Thiher of Browntown received a doctor of philosophy degree with a major in chemical and biochemical engineering during commencement ceremonies staged in Dec. after the completion of the UI’s fall 2019 semester.

LA CROSSE — Ian Matchett, New Glarus, was named to Western Technical College’s President’s List of High Distinction for the Fall 2019 term.
To be included on the President’s List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and carry 12 or more credits in an associate’s degree or technical diploma program.
