JUDA - The congregations of the Oakley-Union and Juda-Zion United Methodist churches invite the public to join with them in commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

At 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, April 1, the Rev. Tom Miller will preach a sermon entitled "Body Piercing Saved My Life" which will recount the sufferings of Jesus on the cross. A service of Holy Communion will follow. The church choir will also sing.

On Good Friday, April 2, the combined choirs of the two churches will present "Bow The Knee," a musical that tells how a Roman soldier came to faith in Jesus. The performance is at 2 p.m. at the Zion Church.

Zion will provide a sunrise service at 7 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 4. The service and sermon will be different from the regularly scheduled services at Union at 9:30 a.m. and Zion at 10:45 a.m.

The Zion church is located on the corner of Walnut and Church Streets in Juda and the Union Church is on the corner of Union and Gerber Roads in Spring Grove township.
