MONROE — There will be a blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. Aug. 15 at Monroe Bible Church, 2613 8th Ave. in the Nehemiah Center.

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in the community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds and almost everybody will need blood sometime in their lifetime.
