To the Editor:

When Roe v. Wade was overturned putting Wisconsin women back in the 1800s, I made a conscious decision to support only those who believe women are able to make decisions for themselves regarding their bodies, and those that will work to restore these reproductive rights for not only me, but also my daughters and granddaughters. On November 5, I will be voting for  Jenna Jacobson. I’ve been following Jenna and the good work she has done in the Capitol while representing the 43rd Assembly District. Jenna cosponsored bills that support women, like making the ability to obtain contraceptives a statutory right. She has earned the support of organizations like Planned Parenthood and other health care advocates across our state because of her support for women and children.        

Jenna is a daughter, wife and mother who knows first hand how the freedom to make choices for ourselves is critical to our overall well being. I have no doubt that she will continue to work for us in District 50.

I recently was given a t-shirt that reads  Elect Democratic Women to Protect ALL Women. And on November 5, this is exactly what I’m going to do, starting with voting for Jenna Jacobson for Assembly District 50.
