MONTICELLO — The Monticello Area Historical Society (MAHS) will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Norwegian Church/Museum, W1898 County Road EE, Albany.
Following a short business meeting, John Thill will give the history of the journey of the Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church to today’s museum. The Norwegian Church was founded in 1864. In 1983, the church closed when a larger Lutheran Church was built on the northeast corner of the village of Albany.
Parking is limited, so guests should plan to carpool. Be at the Monticello parking lot before 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. There is no running water at the church/museum and no porta-potty.
This is a free presentation and the public is welcome.
