MONROE - Third- to eighth-grade basketball players can join the lineup for the seventh annual Net "n Ten 3 on 3 basketball tournament, sponsored by Monroe Area Rebel Soccer.
The competition will be Sunday, March 21, at a new location - the Monroe High School from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Concessions will be available.
Each team will be comprised of three to four players with one adult coordinator. Age brackets are determined by 2008-2009 school year grade levels. If necessary, players may play "up" a grade division, but will not be allowed to play "down" to a younger age bracket.
Each age division will be open to the first eight paid team entries. The fee is $60 per team, and each team is guaranteed three games and a Net "n Ten T-shirt. Games are typically 10 to 12 minutes, and the winning team in each age bracket will go home with championship medals.
Registration forms and additional tournament information are available at www.netnten.net or by contacting Wendy Baumann, (608) 325-1752. The deadline for entries is March 10. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Monroe High School soccer program.
