MONROE - After losing four straight games and five of their past six games, the Monroe boys basketball team's fate in the regional tournament will have to be road warriors.

Monroe (8-13, 3-8 Badger South) received a No. 5 regional seed and will play at fourth-seeded Oregon Tuesday, Feb. 25 when the tournament tips off. The WIAA released the regional tournament seedings Sunday. The Cheesemakers are the No. 5 seed in a five-team regional grouping that includes No. 1 ranked Mount Horeb. If Monroe can beat Oregon, they will play Mount Horeb.

"Our regional is as tough as anyone in the state," Monroe coach Pat Murphy said. "Come tournament time, you have to be playing your best or you will go home. I don't think what is down the road. If you don't take care of the present step it doesn't matter."
