WIAA state wrestling: Day 3
Bredeson 2nd; Minder, Hauri , Ubersox 4th

Darlington junior Leif Bredeson lost in the WIAA Division 3 heavyweight title match 2-1 to Stratford's Dylan Schoenherr.


Monroe junior Bodie Minder finished fourth overall in the 220 pound weight class in Division 2 at the WIAA state wrestling tournament at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Minder pinned Ryan Larson from St. Croix Central in the consolation semifinals, but lost 4-0 in the third-place match against TJ Weldman of Denmark. Minder finished the season with a 43-12 record. 


Jackson Hauri of Brodhead Juda also finished fourth. Hauri, a senior battling in the 152-pound weight class in Division 2, defeated Grafton's Ellis Pfieger in the consolation semifinals by a 10-2 major decision. In the third-place match, Hauri lost to Tristan Massie of Barron for the second time in the state tournament. In Hauri's first match on Friday, Massie won 9-5. In Saturday's third-place match, Massie won in sudden victory overtime, 5-3.


Sugar River senior Daniel Enloe lost in his consolation semifinal match by a 5-1 decision against Omro's Mitchell Potratz. In the fifth-place match, Enloe was pinned at the 4:02 matck by Ellsworth's Logan Peterson.


Kolbe Ubersox, a Darlington-Black Hawk senior, won his consolation semifinal over Pittsville's Beau Merritt by a 12-2 major decision. In the third-place match, Fennimore's Trevor Wanek beat Ubersox 4-3. Ubersox defeated Wanek in the sectional final Feb. 16.
