STEVENS POINT — The Wisconsin Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) will once again sponsor a 3-point challenge as part of the boys and girls basketball state tournament.
Coaches wishing to have their players eligible must enter information into Wissports.net. The top two players in each division based on shooting percentage (min. 75 attempts) will participate. A player whose team qualifies for the state tournament may not participate in the 3-point challenge.
The girls 3-point challenge will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 a.m. at the Resch Center, and the boys 3-point challenge will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the Kohl Center.
Last season, Monticello’s Jaden Zuber and New Glarus’s Lindsey Schadewalt participated in the event. Neither athlete made it out of the first round.
