Janesville, Fulton men arrested for possession of child pornography

JANESVILLE — Two Rock County men were arrested for child pornography last week.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 4, Rock County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, Special Investigation Unit Deputies and Bureau of Identification Deputies, assisted by a Janesville Police Department Detective and Electronic Detection K9 Maui, executed a search warrant in the 600 block of Sunset Drive in the City of Janesville. The search warrant was for evidence in violation of Wisconsin State Statute Chapter 948, Crimes Against Children.

As a result of the investigation, Matthew J. Skalecki, age 42, was arrested for the following charges:

●  (10) counts of Possession of Child Pornography

●  (1) count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Obscene Material Depicting Person Engaged in Sexual Contact with an Animal

Skalecki made his initial appearance in Rock County Jail Court on Dec. 6. His bond was set at $10,000, and his next appearance in court will be Dec. 18.

The next day, at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 5, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, with the assistance of the Beloit Police Department and the Town of Beloit Fire Department, executed a search warrant in the 4200 block of W Riverside Drive, Fulton Township. The search warrant was for evidence in violation of Wisconsin State Statute Chapter 948, Crimes Against Children.

As a result of the investigation, Austin J. Vine, age 28, was arrested on eight counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Vine made his initial appearance in Rock County Jail Court on Dec. 6. His bond was set at $10,000, and his next appearance in court will be Dec. 18.
