WISCONSIN DELLS — Darlington’s girls golf team finished fourth at a SWC mini-meet at Trappers Turn Sept. 3.

The Redbirds shot a collective 244, which trailed champion Wisconsin Dells (201), Lancaster (213) and Southwestern-Cuba City (220). Prairie du Chien (294) was fifth.

Josie Thomas led Darlington with a 19-over-par 55. Josie Miester and Brianna Gavinski shot a 61 and 62, respectively, while Alexis Bridges carded a 66 and Sophie Wiegel finished with a 73. Wiegel had the team’s only par of the day on the No. 6 par 4.

Brianna Kirsch of Lancaster was the medalist with a 45, followed by Kayla Gray (46) and Gracie Walker (48) of Wisconsin Dells. Thomas finished tied for ninth. 

Up next for the Redbirds was a scheduled meet at Lancaster Country Club on Sept. 8. A rain-makeup from Aug. 31 at Prairie du Chien Country Club will be held Sept. 11.
