CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cambree Foesch, age 10, had the highest scoring dance out of over 800 dances of an entire weekend-long dance competition in Iowa recently. Her dance, a contemporary solo called “Part 1”, was choreographed by Brittany Price, owner of 2023 Dance Company in Monroe.
Cambree, of Brodhead, and her teammates attended Starz Dance Competition in Cedar Rapids last weekend where the competition ran from Friday afternoon into Sunday night, April 5-7, with two stage rooms running.
Cambree started out with winning her age division, advanced to 9-11 solos. During the final awards ceremony she was announced as the dancer with the highest scoring number. There was over 800 numbers at the competition ranging in ages 2-19, and anywhere from groups to solos.
The entire 2023 Dance Company team brought home many awards and overall placements, including having over half of the top 20 dances of the entire weekend.
