After incredible playoff runs, New Glarus and Albany’s seasons have ended. Both schools lost to the No. 1 state ranked and unbeaten teams in their divisions.

New Glarus lost to Mineral Point 63-43 at DeForest in a WIAA Division 4 sectional final. Mineral Point returns to state for the second straight year. The Pointers were second in 2021. This was the first sectional final appearance for New Glarus since 2004.

Albany lost to Randolph 43-31 in a D5 sectional final at McFarland. It’s the second straight season the Comets have reached the sectional final.
