Richard W. Hillary, age 43 of Monroe, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on December 23, 1975 in Cuba City, WI, the son of Robert Hillary and Peggy Bolton-Siegenthaler. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1994. Richard married Rachel C. Motte on May 14, 2004 in Monroe. He worked as a carpenter for several years, then went to work as an equipment operator at Grande Cheese Co. for the last 8 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, NASCAR, working on cars, woodworking, and spending time with his sons and family.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel; sons: Russell, Remington, and River; his mother, Peggy (Robert) Siegenthaler of Monroe; father, Robert (Cindy) Hillary of Hanover, IL; brother, Adam (Heather) Siegenthaler of Monroe; sisters: Holly (Brett) Mulhall of Janesville and Chelsea (Rick) Vogel of Brodhead; many other relatives and friends.
